I just purchased this phone on 03/06/2020. There have been several software updates and security updates over just the last 6 months. It is so smooth. No glitches so far. Fingerprint scanner is much faster than at launch. Camera app is faster as well. Obviously is still takes time to load as it's processing raw images. This phone also feels great in hand. Solid, heavy material and very premium feel. Plus it is just beautiful!

Hi! Thanks for the review! I fully agree with all the comments on the Nokia 9 preview. I love the phone it is amazing, but there are some things which should be improved. It takes amazing pictures just sometimes the time between changing for ex. between photo and pro options takes a lot of time. But still I think buying it, is the best choice I have ever made.

1. @5:35 Android One is not a OS - its a program guaranteing updates and pure Android with no bloat. Android 9 Pie is the OS 2. Drag the shutter button upward for more fatures like shutter time, Manual focus and so on 3. Download the latest update (a few weeks old now) for fixing the finger print scanner and updates to camera software

Keep complaining about the "" bezels "",, the next time you bump your bezel less phone against something hard and chip your screen. You bezel police are getting nutty.

I wonder if the JPG quality has been improved after the last update (end of April) and what's the picture quality for just point and shoot in auto (jpg)

Do you know if this phone is a 2g or a 2g and would you know if the nokia 9 purview can somehow be converted to work on a 4g/5g network(att)? big question I know but I love this phone and I just hate the idea of shutting it down so I can move into another phone

I realy like this Bezels. Nowadays it's more a positive. It sets It apart from all these bezelless "breaky" rounded devices wich look all the same because othe this. The Blue Bezel is beautiful and prevents all kinds of unwanted actions I had with my other phones with bezels.

Nokia is legendary

I have no issues with my Nokia 9 yet. The finger print sensor works without a hitch.

The worst part about Nokia phones is that they can be expensive to fix if they are broken.. I had a Nokia 7 Plus and I loved it, especially since it has relatively low price. But it would cost me so much to fix it when I broke it, I ended up buying a Huawei P Smart 2018. I dont like to spend lots of money on phones, so this one is so perfect! You should do a review of it, its amazing! I could have gone for the 2019, but my local store gave me a really good price for the 2018 one so I just chose it :)

please do a video on what phones shoot raw. no one talks about it on youtube, such things as the mi 9t pro, itll only shoot at 13mp while in raw even tho its a 48mp camera and some phones cant shoot in raw using 3rd party apps or not.

We need some little bit of bezel on phones actually. I have an A30 Samsung and while I like the huge display, i got frustrated by how many accidental touches i got. That bezel is noice imo

Changing the aspect ratio of your photos, like a lot of features, is only accessable in the pro photo mode. It also reduces the megapixel count when doing so. The more you know. *Shrug*

This bezel is perfect size and way better than having a distracting hole in the screen... also how do you hold a phone that has no bezels, without accidentally touching stuff?!?!

i was kind of hoping the 5 cameras would be use for shooting videos too, but their limit to still photography is a let down.

I own the Nokia 9 PureView and l like it mainly for taking photos and edits. With the Adobe Light Room download truly awesome results are possible. As to RAW files you can switch that function off. If photography is not priority RAW is not needed. Also my photos are uploaded as needed and then deleted from the phone. Have yet to have memory issues. If you use a fingerprint reader so what. A pattern lock is better, easier and foolproof. No ear phone jack? Only one speaker? No big deal again, this is a phone for people who enjoy photography not vids and music. No problem with keeping lenses clean and I use a case on the phone. Android One is great, may never use a phone without. The battery does recharge quickly but wish the charge would last longer. The all glass outside is slick and nescesiates a cover. This is a niche phone, not a daily driver. If you not looking for a phone that has awesome photography capabilities stay away from the Nokia 9 PureView. Our daily phones are Nokia 7.1 and 6.1. Both very good mid-range priced phones.

It's an awesome prototype and nonsensical final product... All they need to change is: + Add expandable storage (non negotiable); + Add at least wide ange + battery must be at least 4500-5000mAh; + Stereo speakers; THEN YOU'D HAVE A WORTHY CONTENDER... as it is now - a cool gimmick with a very limited use due to small storage that is designed to ridicule the cameras capability.... very very odd

Good review... I have this phone and love it (and yeah it's soooo pretty) but god damn the speaker is shockingly bad. It really needs headphones even just for some light youtube watching. Imo battery is fine and I don't mind the bezels, I hate the distortion of curved glass screens. Using the fingerprint reader gets easier with practice.
