Nokia G20/G21: Black Screen? Won't Turn On? Easy Fixes!

I show you how to fix a Nokia G21 smartphone (same for G20) that has a black screen even though the phone is on. So the screen is just blank or black but the phone is on. I give you several easy possible fixes. Good Luck! .

THANK YOU! :) My phone is only 6 mo old. I just had an update today and within 2 hours the screen went dark and wouldn't come on. My alarms were ringing but no keys would work either, such as the volume up/down. I tried the 'Hold Power button with the Volume Up key' I waited and the Android 1 logo came on. FYI. I had tried this before watching the video but did not wait long enough. :) You made my day.

I highly agree. I bough nokia because it is known for being durable but man was I wrong. It started to hang and go black just after a few months from buying it. I thought I bought it at a steal price but turns out I was the one robbed. The realme phone I bought is more durable even if it was a new entry to the phone world when I bought it.

You saved my day man. Thanks for sharing. I got the issue after recent Security Update in my Nokia X20. I have issue when I want to hear WhatsApp audio messages it automatically blanks the screen and audio comes from the speaker of the phone not the loud speaker. And When it happens you have to press power button to wake the screen up but phone does not responds. So What I do is turn the fone over and then face it up. It kind of wakes up and become responsive.

Holy fucking shit, the tapping method actually worked. This phone was not used for a couple months. Tried all obvious methods before finding this video. I was almost certain the phone had bricked on its own or its battery was 100% dead. Great video, thanks man!

I had once the problem of that my phone didn't turn on the screen. I tried the method of pressing the power and volume up. Your trick was just what I needed. Thank you. Althought I can't use the powerbutton + volume up trick any more. The power button did stop working. I can turn it off via the off-option on my phone but, I have to plug in the charger or powerbank to turn my phone on. Althought I can use my phone the way I want to use it. Tracking my activities, and navigating around the area.
