Hi there, what I found Really cool, was the way the machine Hit Positively on the coin under the 2 medium-sized rust encrusted nails, also the coin next to the large rust encrusted nail ( across the barrel), and finally the 2 coins surrounded by those 7 rusty nails, when bearing in mind, that those nails have been in the ground for 8 plus years, leaching oxidised ferrous 'halos' around themselves, that have only got bigger over those years. Yet the Simplex 'saw' them for what they were, and 'nailed' the non-ferrous coin targets all the same!. For me, that is an outstanding return for a sub $300 single frequency MD with a 11" DD coil, not a concentric 'cherry-picker'.

Amazing how far technology has come in the the metal detector world. I'm still using an old whites eagle spectrum and a tesoro silver sabre 2 and am still impressed with those. Guess it's time to upgrade to a 21rst century machine and really be blown away. Great review, great channel!

I have some of the Whites heavy hitters from yesteryear...the Eagle II SL90, the Silver Eagle, and the DFX 300, I recently got a new Treasure Pro as a lighter detector, but wasn't thrilled. After seeing so many good reviews on the Nokta Simplex+ I now have one on the way. Your performance tests easily match the performance of my old legendary Whites machines.....and unbelievably the Simplex+ is waterproof on top of it.....my mind is blown.

Love ur detector reviews. Much better than the flash lites. I’ve got a classic 3 like u tested a long time ago. Works great. That simplex is VERY impressive. Unfortunately , lack of funds with all that’s going on , will keep me using my Fisher 1266x. But no complaints there. Stay safe bud.

I now have the Simplex and I agree with your findings. It was worth every penny and then some. I have dug targets at 14inches ... impressive .... coinage easy at 9 to 12 inches ... I too am not affiliated or sponsored by the company .... but make no mistake I am sold on their product :)

I love your reviews, I have tried many that you have put through your test bed and see similar results. I have recently sold some of my detectors, but kept the simplex as there’s nothing this misses that my other detectors can hit. Good that your results show what a great machine it is and what value for money!! Don’t suppose you are planning to test a Minelab Vanquish 440, or 540? I have a 340 which is great, the coil is small and it doesn’t compete with the Simplex on deeper targets

You should test a makro racer 1 with the large coil I’ve had it for years and found tons of things that my mate with a ctx couldn’t

just got the simplex plus green edition ( with headphones ), used it once for an hour or so - not had chance to get out yet due to work but I agree with everything you've said - awesome detector.. Not been detecting since my 20s & I'm now 50 :( and fancied a new hobby besides my PC. Hope there's still plenty to find out there ^_^ UK 🇬🇧 Great vids - subscribed.

Okay, so I did a ton of research on this machine before I bought it (my first detector ever), and most of the reviews were very good, but they were no where near as thorough as your test... which I'm seeing 4 weeks after I bought my Simplex. I still learned a lot of tricks from your test, and I saw how it performed in a real life environment, with real life objects, and it was a pleasure to be confirmed in my purchase. This review will be a help for all future Metal detector buyers. Oh, and by the way future metal detector buyers: Don't buy a cheap chinese G P PinPointer Knock off. They are worthless.

Super cool I have 2 of them 2.77 and 2.78 one for water one for land really respect you and your test bed have you done 540 ,440 vanquish nokta legend or nox800 these among others I have all ready! maybe I missed them in my search thankyou for your extreme effort you rock bud 👊

question do you see any difference from 2.77 to 7.78? I heard the depth aint as good in 2.78 thats what came preinstalled in mine trying to downgrade but i think they locked the boot loader in 2.78

The rail and the rectangle hole under the armrest is for an external battery pack which will be released eventually! It will slide in the rectangle slot and I guess the rail is for the attachment.

Hi my friend from Greeksite of island Cyprus.i am your follower.look for more than 3 years I am hunting with my minelab safari.Last Monday I bought The siblex with the new version 2.78.Is really AMAZING.I want to advise you to get it.The reason is you have an extra depth (you will not needed,)You have another park mode that is really very fast and acurate,And the special thing that I notice is that...when hits bottle cups the nrs become crazy.change to low end to high.really believe me.i hunting in very trushy areas.this feture will help you...this way i thimk Deus only have this feture.Best regards my friend..My minelab is resting now...sorry for my English...

I suspect that if he were to get his hands on an Equinox or an XP Deus, they would be the first detectors to break into that 60 point level. This unit seemed to score right where you’d expect. Basically a simplified Impact.

My Simplex battery easily lasts through whole day's hunt. Have had zero need for an attached battery. Also - not sure what the issue is with the charger port? Works great and is waterproof.

Guess if the port was a USB c or something it would be more apt to work anywhere. The one is fine but of u misplace it. Have to have a back up ready. Usb C cables I have everywhere is all

Send me the dimensions of the 18650 charger and I will design and print a holder. I have ordered two of these detectors. I bought an XP ORX that i am sending back to get two of these plus a tom of accessories. LOL... had it less than a month and the Coil lost wireless and could not connect to it. Thank for the review. Told my Son he was full of crap when he told me it was fully upgradable with a Dynamic display for under $300.00. now I have to grovel and mumble and tell him he was right.

In testing the f75 he pretty much has tested the Patriot. In fact, the engineer, Dave Johnson, once said that if people realized how good the F70 (patriot) was they might not buy an F75.

I used today it for the first time, I used to a coinmaster. Much much better and easier to handle. I put it in my backpack and only a part came out. What I don't like are the buttons, Way to hard to press in my opinion. The updates are just awesome option. The added in the latest update (2.77) a quick mute option at the pinpoint button which is super. The battery is a flat one inside (check md-hunter.com/nokta-simplex-plus-teardown-new-in-pictures/ ) for the rail under the armrest, it seems a rail same as a gunrail, But I didn't try it yet. When it is a gun rail you can buy a flashlight holder and add the round Powerbank you got underneath, or even a flashlight if needed.

Yes probably it can be used as gun rail. My gun rails from my airgun are 22 and 11 but i see the sale 15mm as well. So you can be a tactical metal detectorist.

Nobody seems to have a satisfactory answer for this. It’s intriguing. It must be for some future accessory, but what…a counterweight…a power bank? There’s no telling with NM. At one time they were even planning on providing Invenio hardware for other machines, including the IPTU tracker. I’m sure that’s not what this is for, but just to show you how they think forward.

It hardly hit the quarter nxt to the large iron nail and you nearly gave it 3 for falseing on it the other direction , ridiculous
