Thank You for making this video. Using the same battery makes this a very fair 1:1 air test. If you do one with an actual soil depth test that would be stellar!

Appreciated this video - thank you. The gravel hardstanding area at my home has a lot of old nails, screws and tacks hidden among the little stones and I got a puncture on a very expensive tyre last weekend. Your video helped me to decide on the MT6 Pro as a €42 euro investment in sweeping the area to potentially save a lot more over time. It arrived this morning and the first sweep has produced about 15 sharp items that would damage a tyre. Doesn't detect decking screws, but because I've been using the MT6 Pro down close to the ground I've spotted 3 of those anyway. The bonus for me is that the woods nearby (I'm in Normandy, France) are full of WW1 & WW2 stuff, so once this task is out of the way I'll also have some fun with it.

Having done hours of research...( aka youtube comparison vids) and being something of a tight bugger I just bought the Dr otek pointer ...My Priorities were.... a/ Simple and effective..( you don't need to be fiddling around with settings every time you stick it down a hole)...b/ Waterproof...c/ Price...(I pay for the thing, not it's name)...I Haven't used it much yet but impressed wiith it so far....If it turns out to be a pup i'll be sure to let you all know...Happy hunting.

Works well, a lot of people where saying it wasn’t and that’s because they where using the battery that came with it , putting a decent battery in made a big difference

I prefer my pointer to sound only when it is close to the object you are finding..The detector in my opinion should do the hardwork

This looks like a good test for the MT6 PRO, I have the Dr Otek MT6 pin pointer and not been very impressed at all, it has never vibrated once I only have the lights to give me any idea of an object when digging, but I'm still not sure about this MT6 PRO.

@@HistoryRevisiteduk yea i have it. Its impressive.. I wish there were sensitivity levels. It has the first button that will stabilize and drops the sensitivity a little bit but no levels yet for these prototypes.

Good test - however I do like the build quality of my Nokta . They need to break the stranglehold of the Carrot

Yes solid piece of kit the nokta , I do prefer the xp-mi4 over it , less bulky and slim line compared

If they want to break the carrot they need to produce something that can beat a gp pointer first mate and this isn't even slightly near the gp in depth

When will the mt6 pro be available? How many feet is it water proof what depth?

This was a test model so feedback was given , they may make some alterations, but I don’t think it will be to long before available. Depth 3 metres

So the Nokta actually pinpoints and the MT6 just tells you it’s in the hole and might be 3 inches away. You don’t need great depth on a pinpointer!

I've just wasted 97 quid on the nokta and my gp pointer blows the nokta away I have literally paid a lot of money for what is essentially going to be a backup so disappointed
