@@whosSarge Idk what scale they use in the video games today, but the MLB scouts use a scale of 20-80 to rate the tools of the players, 80 being the best. So maybe the game mimics that now.

Stacks his field rating is like that to reflect realistic progression in Sim I believe . Because if you go a few years in franchise he starts to really pick up stats quickly

Nolan arenado is the definition of making these EXTREMELY tough plays look routine. Might go down as the greatest 3B of all time. I wish he was in the AL just so I can see him play more as an A’s fan (also him and chappy went to the same high school at the same time so that would be a cool rivalry)

@@keen2400 as a Dodgers fan, I don't think it's debatable right now. Certainly defensively, he's the best third baseman in the game. Offensively, I'd still take Justin Turner, but defensively, Arenado. 100 times out of 10, Nolan Arenado is the best defensive third baseman in the game.

He's a little bit of Scott Rolen, Brooks Robinson, Chipper Jones, and George Brett rolled into one. Phenomenal defense, hitting consistency, power consistency, and attitude. I love watching the Cardinals play against him because despite wanting them to pull a win, I want to see him make his usual ten highlight reel plays.

Yeah, they need to get him one! If there's ever a chance the Rockies could in the title again, I'll be pulling for them. I like seeing teams that have never won it all, win it all. And Nolan deserves one.

Such an awesome day to be a baseball fan in Denver! Can't believe he chose to stay here, a mid-sized market where most locals don't really follow the baseball team. Denver is about 90% Broncos and 10% the other three teams. The irony right now is that even though the Broncos won the Superbowl 2 years ago, since then they have been the worst big league team in town. I hope this helps more folks become baseball fans around here. I know several of the guys at my office were ecstatic today when one of the crew told everyone about his new contract, me especially. He is absolutely a generational talent. Being at the ballpark and watching him at third is like being in the mountains and watching predator animals, an eagle or mountain lion, stalking and ready to attack and then pouncing to destroy their prey. He makes it look so easy and natural. If you're a batter in the MLB, the last place you want to hit that ball is to the left side of the infield vs the Colorado Rockies. PS Thank you to the MLB channel for posting this video today! Very timely!

Yeah, I’m well aware he’s a multiple time golden glove winner, and I actually never disputed that fact. I’m saying the reason he stayed in Colorado is because it’s ideal for him as a hitter. Him being a good defender is pretty irrelevant. Most guys who bat well wanna play in a hitters park . He’s going to be a good defender regardless of the team he stays with. I’m not going to blame you, by the looks of it you’re a Red Sox fan so it makes sense why you’re a douchebag and also slow.

People talk about tools this guy has them all. I’ve said over and over that the most complete player in the game is between him and trout. Not to mention he is a gold glover every year since being called up and is also the fielders bible pick. If you are picked over Machado you know you can play your position. He could end up being the greatest defensive 3rd baseman in history.
