While I will admit to wanting to trade him, I will say it was mostly because he didn’t have a defensive home with the team and I figured he’d be great bait to get an ace. Obviously I’m happy to see how well he’s doing so I’m glad to be proven wrong

I think Victor Wembanyama would be a good hitter. Also Bol Bol. They would also be good pitchers because they could just hand the ball to the catcher because they have such long arms. If the batter tries to hit it then he would end up hitting the pitcher with it and that would be assault and he would go to jail for life.

Not all hitters have the same holes in their swing. More bend is better for some.

You realize that's Mark DeRosa, right? Man played 16 seasons and more than 1,000 games in the majors...I think he knows a bit about the basics and fundamentals about hitting.

​@@bh-2198 Probably not (Cobb wasn't into thinking about how he did things), but DeRosa knows enough about what he's talking about (hitting fundamentals), which is worth far more that whatever opinion you happen to be spouting. Your apparent argument is that no major league player who managed to carve out his living as a regular major league player simply doesn't know enough to understand batting mechanics basics. I think those marbles happen to be yours. (DeRosa was a long-time solid utility player not because of his talent but because of the way he learned and applied those fundamentals. It's like saying Jose Oquendo doesn't know a damn thing about coaching simply because he's a bench player.)

@@t.sniffin3031 They all bat alike and talk alike. There are more ways to approach hitting than he is offering or acknowledging. Studying the only two men to ever hit over .400 three seasons should be looked at by everyone.

As a non Cardinals fan, why has he fallen off this year? Is it all due to high k rate?
