Three weeks ago today my partner of 7 years ended his life. He loved this song. The depth of what you must have gone through to write this must have been very deep. If you ever play in Northwest Arkansas, I would love to see you. Keep on Nolan, darkness is beautiful. We just have to remember to come back up for air.

I'm a huge fan of "Darkness" by Nolan Taylor. It's one of my all-time favorite songs. It's definitely in my top five, and may even replace my all-time favorite song, "Welcome to the Machine" by Pink Floyd.

I just wanna say, there was a point in life during my service that I felt alone (wasn't in a combat job). In Japan far from home, pushing everyone away and slowly disappearing myself. I had a friend with me who took her own life and man, it tore me up inside and I wasn't sure if I too would ever come home because of that Darkness or if she had the right idea because that emptiness was heavy and hurt so much. I never thought I would find that feeling again but this song is just brilliant. It reminds me of where I was when I was and how lucky I am to be where I'm at now. Thank you brother!
