Depending on the price, the qualifications and such, Might be favoring that over the Antiguan one I was eyeing up for my husband, the purpose of it for us is because my husband is Pakistani and can't travel anywhere. We would love to travel around Europe but the requirement of having travel insurance, all stuff booked makes it very unflexible.

Albania has been on my radar for many years. I agree that it is the last inexpensive country to purchase beachfront property. I believe they are very, very close to joining the EU. When that happens out the window goes the low cost of living and property purchase. NOW is the time to buy property in Albania

I am a resident in Albania. Blloku, Lunder, Sauk, etc. in Tirana are as nice as any place I have ever been. It isn't what you think. I spent 4 months in Saranda and I was totally unimpressed. But the 3 km between the military base in Skembi i Kavajes and North Golem is the best beach I have seen anywhere. Lined with apartments and 4* and 5* hotels, restaurants from beach snacks to white table cloth cuisine, and, in the summer, lounges with live music. You can rent two lounges and an umbrella with beach service for between $4 and $6 per day. Honestly, with a 5 year residency that properly structured can exempt about $280K per year from Albanian taxes, for most people, it works.

How much do I need to invest in order (in my own company that is) to become a resident of Albania please? Oh I see they are not part of the Shengen area though you can GO with a Schengen Visa even though they are not a EU country. As for Montenegro, it is on the waiting list to join the EU soon, but at the moment, it has a similar visa policy as the Schengen area so I would love to also know how much I need to invest in my own company to become a resident of Montenegro?

Norway doesn't permit dual nationality unless you fit a narrow set of exceptions. Read their Nationality Law.

Becoming France citizenship costs 10 million euros, Germany citizenship is 3 million euros for your family, Spain citizenship is 500.000 euros , Latvian citizenship is 250.000 euros, Greek citizenship is 250.000 euros. British Virgin Island citizenship is 210 million sterlings. İtalian citizenship needs you to live in İtaly non stop 10 years time. Marriage will hit and surpass all targets at those very rich, very developed countries' citizenships.

Albania has been one of my honorable mentions that I've looked at. For me it's about learning another language. I know English and Spanish and not sure if I want to learn another one.

Andrew, I still think that The Caribbean and Turkiye is the way to go when it comes to CBI but I am very concerned that the EU will take away visa free access from the Caribbean countries.

All these Balkan countries are late to the party. There is no more Rich russians buying these CBI and Europe ready for a nasty downturn. Yet, the CBI prices are still as if we are in 2019.

I would consider Albania citizenship pending on terms & affordability. I agree with you Andrew, in that it should be on the cheaper side.

It is speculated that the EU will not accept Albania because of their Muslim population. Albania should be furious. Once in the EU "all' goods/services/property will shoot up. Buy property now in Albania before they are accepted into the EU.

Andrew my grandmother was born in the Czech republic in 1900 but came to the United States in 1905. I can't qualify because she left before it became Czechoslovakia in 1918. I have traced my Czech lines back to the late 1700s. Is there anything I can do?

Many vacant homes drive up real estate costs and bankrupt cities, Vancouver is ruined for the local population by a trend of wealthy chinese buying homes there as a way to protect their wealth from China's banks etc. But they don't live there so don't contribute to the local economy. A vacant home here or there isn't a problem but a whole trend can ruin the locality

Albanian residence program is what really save me at a difficult time. EU programs just closed for Russians as al others. For me it is a good value since you need to live somewhere. And big hollow to western democracy and stupid politicians who closed borders.

Why would you. Portugal is the only option you need to look at. Just spend the next year getting a remote position and then apply for the D7. Honestly don’t waste your time looking at cheap countries in Europe - they are cheap for a reason

you also will work for a passport that opens massively the door to the hispanic and lusophone world and also in limited places of asia no other european country passport offers. Check it Hispanic world- Brazil allows portuguese people to become brazilian by only residing in brazil for 1 year and having moral integrity. You then have a mercosul passport that you can use for freedrom of movement in south america. Hispanic world- Mexico demmands 2 year residence for portuguese nationals to naturalize as mexicos because we are from iberian country. Hispanic world- 2 years for spanish citizenship because you are portuguese. The ibero- american countries (19 in latin america + spain portugal and andorra) recently signed a convention to easy the movement of talent in the space. Lusophone world Portuguese citizens have benefits in macau The countries that have portuguese as official language signed a deal to promote freedrom of movement in the space.
