I'm scared to get my hair done because I feel like I won't be able to explain EXACTLY what I want and I feel like it will be ruined

I'm scared if I get a shorter cut that I won't look pretty enough to pull it off and I'll just be stuck looking stupid.

there is no such thing as a nonbinary hair cut, just a neutral hair cut, i belive hair should not be gender, just a hair cut

I once went to a salon I got a gift card for from my mom, it was a pretty expensive salon and I had always cut my own hair, but I wanted to have it short again and I thought, sure, let’s go there. So I did. I went there, and I told them I wanted my sides and back shaven and the top part a bit on the longer side of short. I wanted a clean shave which apparently was ‘too masculine’ and ‘for boys’ so they made the short to long part very smoothe. Not at all what I wanted, and about 2 weeks later I just bought a trimmer and just shaved my whole head instead. Now I have the clean straight shaven parts where I want it, and longer on the top. I can’t believe I spent so much money (even with the giftcard!) on a cut I didn’t like. But they didn’t wanna do it my way and me being anxious and having a panic disorder I decided not to say anything instead…
