22:10 "Don't openings spoil so much?" Yes and no. Jojo openings in particular spoil a LOT, but it's done in a way that unless you already know what it's referencing, you have no idea what's going on. The exceptions would be the variants. Because those are supposed to be experienced as you're watching the show and happen after MAJOR reveals in the story.

(spoilers) i remember being really high and immediately guessing that caesar dies in part 2 because of the opening, but i think that was the only reveal i really caught from an opening. it's extremely subtle and well done, in my opinion; i agree.

@@schreiethe opening does pretty explicitly spoil it. He makes a pained face, immediately a red bubble shows up(and they've already established he uses bubbles to fight) and then immediately Joseph is putting on his headband and screaming to the heavens. It's pretty damn explicit.

2:58 I wouldn't want it any other way. 3d was literally perfect for these. Also variants are basically changes in the openings after a major plot event, for example part 4 op 1 variant 2 happens after revealing a villain that wants to become a guitarist. 13:37 pretty much.

Part 1, 2, 3 and 6 of Jojo's 3d style is just use at the opening, the show itself is 2d just like any other anime, only part 4 and 5 use 2d in their opening

For example theres scene where a doll falls on the piano and that doll was in the first ep for like one minute and reminds us of her owner from part 1.. since jojo taking so much time to animate its nice to see those little things from the beginning!

Fun fact - Stone Ocean, the last part to be currently animated, serves as an end to a saga, with later parts being completely unrelated to the first six. In the first few seconds of the very first opening (2:07 in your video) you can see animated panels of the protagonists from the mangas, going from Jolyne all the way back to Jonathan, the first JoJo. Then, in the final variant of the last video the same sequence appears again reversed, going from Jonathan to Jolyne (26:14)

We, WISHED! That we would have a jojo part with the 3d animation from part 1-3 op. Some even said that the 3d animation in those openings are harder to animate than 2d. And they’re not even shitty 3d. Mizusaki Junpei, known for godly 3d animations. 3d like that consumed much more amount of time, That’s why he mostly done an opening for anime since they’re shorter.

A fun thing about the last ending is that they have a lot of references to the original one. In both versions, there are certain poses that Jolyne is in that are from previous openings, and in the second one we momentarily see the area the first opening takes place in. While Part 6 isn’t the end of JoJo (Part 9 is still coming out), it is the end of the original continuity. The author rebooted it after that, with Parts 7-9 taking place in a totally new universe. So all of this is basically a sendoff for the series as we know it, and I’m glad the animators clearly put so much love into all of it.

As a hardcore fan, I listen to these on a regular basis. Also the variants do air. However the EDM arrangement of Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town was only on one episode. Also fun thing I heard, for the 4th opening, they brought back the three singers from the previous openings because they believed they wouldn't create Part 4 in anime form. Edit: For clarity

Little sad you skipped ahead on op 4. Theres much more to it. As a bit of a known spoiler, our main antagonist for that can stop time for 9 seconds tops. He actually walks around on screen there for 9 seconds. We see how he was responsible for attacks on the members of the cast. He pops up in each of those shots. Also, the singers from the first 3 openings? They all collab to sing that opening. Which is appropriate since it is the culmination of the fight vs Dio. Joseph and Jotaro are there and in a twisted manner, so is Jonathan. They're all involved.
