"BTS finds you when you need the most" - this was true for me. They found me when I was in my darkest time. They made me smile, feel joy and believe that there are good people in the world. I still get a few looks down when people know that I love BTS (I'm 42 years old by the way) but I've made the most amazing friends through ARMY. BTS members are the most down to earth, humble, kind, caring young men. They truly appreciate their fans. Thank you for giving them a chance! Welcome to the Army! 💜Borahae💜

I’m a 56 year old ARMY, been one for a few years now, and let me tell you…BTS is special !!! I tried showing BTS to family and friends but, I only get judged negatively. K-pop is for teanie boppers, they’re not very masculine, they sing lovey/dovey bubble gum songs, etc…. Man….they couldn’t be more wrong. They are AMAZING ! They are an inspiration! Yes, they are the most humble artists I can think of. Their music means something. They do have some light songs, but not too many. And yes , Army’s are protective of BTS. Why shouldn’t we be ? We like to set the records straight often , when they receive hate, are not respected , and so on. I hope you enjoy your BTS journey. ARMY will watch right alongside you. And btw, the dates under each member’s introductions, are their birth dates ( not when they started performing). Also, J-Hope’s name is pronounced like the word HOPE ( hope you have a nice day ). I’m sure other Armies have mentioned it already. All members have at least 1 common tattoo of the number 7 ( for they are 7 members) , all have them in different styles and in different places. 💜

They haven’t changed. Yes, they grew as artists and matured and experienced a lot of crazy stressful things and eventually achieving success/their dreams (which can change anyone), but their humbleness and being true to themselves, to each other, and to army didn’t change. I can’t speak for kpop if they are anything like BTS bc I learned it had/has its own problems, only because I came in only knowing BTS and became a fan of their music and humility I saw in interviews. I’m not the type to fall for looks first, so that came after becoming a fan. If you were to be a fan of an artist, BTS is the ultimate one because not only they are talented and hardworking, they write/produce their music, talk about real deep stuff and speaking up for their generation, and they’re sincere/authentic, and good people. They are not afraid to admit their own shortcomings (in their own eyes of course, they are the hardest critics of themselves) and that it’s okay. They sing about that, that it’s okay to not fit in or to be a “loser.” They are so relatable. BTS since the beginning were misfits in kpop, they didn’t quite fit the mold of how kpop does things and how big record companies run their groups. As you can see, they came from a small agency and their CEO did not dictate everything, and he encourages that the music come from within themselves. That was his main criteria he asks of them.

BTS is one of the greatest underdog stories around but unless you are army the general public even in Korea have no idea. Seven equally talented extremely hard working guys who only had each other and their (initially) small group of fans. They did things very different from other K-pop companies making their own music about important topics. They continue to be outside the giant media/music industry in many ways. We fan’s support them so much because they make us proud. All seven are role models to us. I’m a 49yo who works in biotech in the Bay Area so maybe not the idea of a typical fan. My previous favorite bands were Tool and Rage Against the Machine but these guys have helped me in so many ways. I’m so grateful I found them and the Army. In a cynical world they give me hope. 💜

LOVE the Namjoon (RM) appreciation. He's such an vital player on the team. Beaides that, he's such a good person and makes phenomenal music. I dont wanna misread anything, but it seemed like you were getting emotional. Thank you for being open and genuinely giving them a chance. I get emotional when watching bts (especially videos regarding their story) because they're such good people and they deserve everything they have achieved and more. It takes a lot to admit that you fell in to the negative stereotypes. Its takes even more to be open-minded after falling into them. So, I'm proud of you for that. Bts are amazing and have so much to offer. I can't wait to see more Bts reactions from you! Bts main shows: Run BTS - main bts variety show Bon voyage - bts show showing the group going on vacations abroad together In the Soop - bts show shot during the pandemic where bts are able to just relax together *p.s. Helpful hint for the guide: Not sure if you know.... Korean people counted age differently to others... Korean Age vs International Age - difference is 1-2 years depending on if their birthday has been.... In most older videos, including this guide, they are giving Korean ages so you will need to adjust. The members were only 13-18 years old when they became trainees and 15-20 yo when they debuted. In Korea when you are born you are considered 1 year old. Then on lunar newyear every year you add another year to your age, no matter what your birthdate is. .... Year of birth - International age at Debut on 13June13 (Year and age became trainee) Jin 1992 - 20 yo (2011 - 18yo) Suga 1993- 20 yo (2011 - 17yo) Suga started with MIDI at 11 JHope 1994 - 19 yo (2011 - 17yo)JHope started dancing at 8 RM 1994 - 18 yo (2010 - 15yo) RM started rapping at 11 and was well known in the underground scene at 13 Jimin 1995 - 17 yo (2012 - 16yo) V 1995 - 17 yo (2011 - 15yo) JK 1997 - 15 yo (2011 - 13yo) JK signed with big hit at 13yo Rule of thumb - if it's before their birthday - subtract 2 years to get international age. if it's after their birthday - subtract 1 year to get their international age. The Korean Government has recently (June28) brought in international age as the standard in Korea, but all older videos/ interviews/ shows, will be referencing Korean age. 💜Have a great day

Thanks for watching. Today, of all days, ARMY really needed something to divert their attention. You have only scratched the surface. Thoughts: 1. You have to listen to Indigo (RM's solo album) - watch the videos and live first, then do the album. It's amazing. 2. Run BTS(the reality show, as opposed to Run the song and Run BTS the song). There are 156 episodes and 6 special episodes. Please don't watch this alone. We want to see. You have options of watching from the beginning, where the episodes start off much smaller, or asking us our favorites (there are so many). 3. You also have BonVoyage and In the Soop episodes. 4. There is so, so much content - interviews, Bangtan bombs, lives, movies, docuseries, Suchwita, American talk shows, and so much more. 5. They really are just plain old good people. 6. Our final 4 (RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook) will be entering the military within the next 6 weeks. But we know there are stockpiles of things that they will give to us until they come together again in June 2025.

RM didn't start in 1994 - he was Born in 1994. He and Suga entered the underground Rap scene at age 13. RM joined BigHit in 2010, Suga soon after as trainees. Debut in 2013. The main reason Jin doesn't pull rank often is bcuz when he joined as a theatre student, he was teaming up with 2 experienced Rappers & an experienced dancer (name is Hope not hop, tho the guys will refer to him as Hobi sometimes), where as he had nothing but his looks. RM is the first to tell you he has no control over his body - basically he struggles learning new moves & he likes to show off his lack of singing ability. 😁 V is the hugger - if he can't get hugs, he'll give them whether you appreciate it or not (I think this helped Suga a lot) + he was quirky enough to be the average person who can't sing, rap or dance. I feel that V helped BTS to be normal humans, despite being idols. The cohesion of the group. Run BTS = variety show In the SOOP = staycation Bon Voyage = travel Bangtan Bombs = them goofing off Bangtantv = official channel Hybe label(?) = new name for above 《Both on KZfaq》

Jin doesn't pull rank also because he's a loose and funny guy, like the dad who keeps the kids in line by goofing around. Jimin is the hugger, practically an empath who takes care of them emotionally. V is unique, both old soul and innocent.
@blarmy827
@blarmy827 6 ай бұрын
V is not remotely the hugger at all 😂 jimin is the koala bc he’s always holding and hugging anyone and everyone. V had nothing to do with them being “normal humans?!?” Wtf are you even talking about lmao v has been completely dependent on the hyungs since day 1… why ppl call him the fake maknae…. Bc even he admits that jungkook is more mature and more of a hyung to him lol BTS have been able to stay grounded as individuals bc they started from nothing and have gone through everything together and kept each other grounded…. 7-1=0 jhope by far helps hold the group together and in charge more than namjoon which namjoon has said for years. BTS didn’t need someone to teach them to be normal ppl bc they started as normal ppl and earned every ounce of success that they have earned and then some. V doesn’t even hug “suga a lot” at all either lol every once in awhile but that’s the most random false fact I’ve heard someone say in quite awhile lol you’re borderline solo Stan. Jin, jungkook and v all came into BTS with no vocal, no rap and no dance training … all the others had a lot of experience in at least one area of performing or creating music. Jin was chosen bc he fits the k beauty standards… as a trainee…. He didn’t become a member of BTS bc he couldn’t sing dance or rap…. He had an acting background which is clutch for idols… and visuals for idols … he was a great singer from debut and on and became a much better dancer… v was the one chosen bc he was quirky even though he couldn’t sing rap or dance… Jin was shy and quiet in the earlier years very traditional Korean … he wasn’t quirky or as chaotic as he has opened up to be. Maybe you should go back and watch more content… bc nothing you say is making sense

@@blarmy827 firstly, thank you for proving my point After calling me a Solo Stan (I never claimed to be ARMY or otherwise). However, you may want to re-watch Taylor Mari's video on ' who is BTS ' - if I'm not mistaken, she lists the order in which the members joined. Not to mention that if V & JK didn't have any ability, Big Hit wouldn't even know about them! Yes Jimin hugs everyone - when they're upset - he's the consoler, whereas V is more of a comfort hugger (even if it is for his own comfort).

@@blarmy827 Ok before I begin, I'm going to preface this with I've been ARMY since 2014. So I do know what I'm talking about. 1. Tae is absolutely a hugger. You only have to watch any of the video media and you can see that. 2. Tae did say that JK is sometimes more mature but that does NOT mean that he was dependent on his hyungs. He is more independent that some of the others. 3. At no point has the OP exhibited any solo behavior. Do NOT label someone as solo without proof. 4. Jungkook came to BH WITH vocal skills. It's in this very video! He did not win the contest but was still approached by multiple agencies. And Tae auditioned with vocal, rap, dance, and saxophone skills. Also in the video. 5. Jin was neither shy nor quiet when he joined. He was given a specific personality type that was his "role" to play in the group but evolved back into his more normal joking behavior, dropping the role completely. 6. Tae was NOT chosen because he was "quirky". He was chosen because he is an all-around talent. Again, where do you get that he couldn't sing or dance? If anyone needs to go back and watch more content, it's you 100%. There isn't a grain of truth in anything you've written. It's like you found the answers and wrote the opposite.

28 year old US ARMY here. I related to this reaction so much! Until a few years ago, I always assumed that BTS and K-Pop would not be for me, that their fans were probably all teenage girls or something. I found them through a KZfaq reactor in 2019, and quickly realized how naive I had been. BTS has changed my entire perspective on music, fandoms, culture, chasing my dreams etc. Each one of the members is such an inspiration and their music has brought me so much encouragement, especially during COVID. Anyway, welcome to the ARMY! 💜💜💜

Also one more correction to make the 1994 thing is RM's birth year. It showed the guys birthday on the description of all the members. Joonie and J-Hope were born in 1994, Suga in 1993, Jin in 1992, V and Jimin in1995 and Jung Kook in 1997 those are their birthdays not when they started. 😭😭😭 Them babies came out with microphones!!! 😂

I fell in love with BTS because of the RAP line. To find BTS is an all star collective. I love the explanation videos by people like DKDKTV because a one word modifier in Korean can give a sentence multiple meanings and RM is a genius lyricist who can mean all meanings simultaneously. I have loved learning about cultural, historical and slang used. I came to the conclusion Korean was made for RAP and poetical lyricism. So much is contained within beautiful or catchy music. Everything is beautifully produced to the highest standard. They all write compose, produce, dance and perform. They are great kind goofy guys with exceptional talent. We will not need to mention their undeniable good looks.

Just letting you know that all of these is just chapter one of Bts! Chapter two started a year ago and they have changed so much as individuals. Just when you thought they couldn't get better than this, they still surprised the army with their personality and artistry. This is why army love them so much. They dont just broaden our perspectives about music, but also culture, life, love, stuggles, and as human being in general. Also, suga is one of the most confident, calm, happy and thoughful member. Those videos in the clips seem a bit old. He is so wise and mature now.

I know people just brush off K-pop but bts generally saved my life, I have horrible anxiety panic attacks, depression ect I found them in 2015 and they motivated me a lot and were more comforting than therapist I’ve had. During the pandemic they are the only reason I kept going truthfull. It might sound stupid cause “why would you depend on a group for your mental health” it’s not I depend on them but they are really the only thing that has helped me get out of major funks in my life. They are genuinely great people and that’s sadly so hard to find these days. Plus since I’m an early army I feel like I went through hardships with them by defending them voting ect and we grew together. I’ve never felt this way towards any artist in my life or cared about artist like this. I just hope they are always happy like they made me feel happy in my darkest times 💜

Both V and Jin have played online games with army before. Well V has played multiplayer games with army like Fall Guys, PUBG, and Goose Goose Duck. Jin has livestreamed Getting Over It and rages the whole time I love how you said "They have all the money in the world" They really do but there are video compilations titled like "BTS being the brokest millionaires" On the "Run BTS" variety show, you'll see how far these "millionaires" will go for a $10 coupon or a rice cooker. Jimin literally said "We are not family" during one of the games LOL There was a story where Jin was laughing cause JK cut up his mattress with scissors because it didn't fit the bed. He didn't feel like returning it and buying a new one so he just... chopped it up

Thanks for giving BTS a chance. I'm 63, and I listen to music my whole life, but I never stanned any artists until I found BTS 3 yrs ago. They are just great artists and human beings. It's sad to see the prejudice and hates they've been getting. Despite all the hardship, BTS continues to stay strong. They are not afraid to show their vulnerability. In my opinion, that demonstrates real masculinity.

INFO ON BTS’ REALITY SHOWS Run Bts is available to watch for free on their KZfaq channel BangtanTV. They started uploading back in 2015 and it now has about 160 episodes. It mostly includes them playing games and trying new things together. (Just know that it was originally on another app and recently got uploaded to KZfaq so the upload dates won’t be accurate for when they were filmed) Bon Voyage is a show of them traveling together. There are 4 seasons that they posted each year starting in 2016. I became a fan in 2016 and loved every season that came out even more than the previous one. Really helped that their budget was slowly getting bigger haha. In The Soop has 2 seasons and shows them having a staycation together. It was filmed and released to replace Bon Voyage during Covid because they couldn’t travel. (Released 2020 and 2021) In The Soop is very chill and doesn’t have as much going on as the other two do, so I usually recommend watching it after becoming a bigger fan because it’s much more enjoyable when u know all of them really well. Bon Voyage and In The Soop are both paid content which u can purchase to watch on the app Weverse. But if u want to watch in your own time, many of us just find it online for free;)

How I became an ARMY: watching their reality show - bon voyage, their genuine personalities came through - humble, authentic, funny and overall good people. They all came from humble beginnings except Jin who's father is reportedly a CEO, but one can tell how well his parents raised him. He cooked and fed his members during pre-debut years, he used to drop off/pick up Jungkook to/from school, would bring food from home to feed the members...ohhh the many stories about each one are so heartwarming, funny and inspirational. I'm honestly an odd ARMY, I loved them FIRST for the kind of people that they are, then listened/appreciated/loved their music later....this is why no matter what music they make, I will always be with them, I love the persons more than the music.

And if you get to listen to their songs, they all are catchy and danceable but pay attention to the explanation videos of their songs or MV (usually DKDKTV channel explains their songs of MV), it's not just a song but the meaning behind these songs and lyrics will definitely make you love, admire and respect them more, both their crafts, talents and as a person.

BTS changed me a lot. I was depressed that time when husband passed away. The first time I was in the ER when I heard them because of the nurses that’s playing BTS music. I think the song is DOPE and asked one of the nurse who are they. They told me that it’s BTS. That’s the time I started liking them that was in 2014. Until now that I am 67 yrs old the more I’m loving them. It’s like they are like my grandsons. I’m so very proud of them, they’re humble, pure heart and soul, kind and philanthropist. They are different from the K-POP that I know. I’m a big fan of Michael Jackson and when I saw BTS Dynamite song it reminds me of my Michael dancing. LOVE BTS AND MICHAEL JACKSON SO MUCH!! I think having the leader not be the oldest is very smart. Because then when he has a hard time he has older people to lean on. It is a very smart model. I think for a long time the olderst in kpop groups was, by default, given to the oldest. Both of the BigHit groups have a member who is in the middle age-wise as they leader. I just think it is so smart to set up a chance for the leader to have people to lean on.

I'm 38 and a teacher from Germany. I got curious about BTS because my students like K-Pop and when I had Corona some time ago, I was so bored at home that I checked them out again. I didn't like the english songs at first, as I come from a Punkrock/ Indie Rock kind of background. But while I was home and bored, I started watching their Variety Show "In the Soop". And that's when I got introduced to them and exactly like you thought: Wha, they're so nice! And really, their output is simply wholesome. So my appreciation grew and I found V's "Christmas Tree". "Mikrokosmos" after that and that was it. I was ARMY. And you seem to have found them as well. It opened up a whole new perspective on life for me, there's so much enthusiasm and appreciation now and I wish you'll find that, too. Don't worry about your friends. They will accept you with all your quirks. Some might even come down the rabbit hole with you. And even if not: I met so many great people in ARMY, this is a very very good place to be. Just feel welcome and enjoy your Magic Shop. ;) Borahae 💜 Oh, and since I didn't see anybody mention it, the Variety shows are called "Run BTS", "Bon Voyage" and "In the Soop"

Thanks so much for this beautiful reaction to the BTS. Keep exploring them and you will be find so much more for their story and their personality. People often have misconception about k-pop. As a BTS army I will give you just one advice listen them as a group and as individual artists as well. I am sure you will love them. And yes they are very down to earth people despite their success and fame. They are the reason I see light in my life in the darkest times in my life. They pull out me from the darkness, and thought me to how love myself and stay strong. They are the light of millions of life's and give them to reason to live. Their struggles are beyond your imagination, and may be that's why they are so humble towards every person in their life. They are very respectful towards every person they meet in their life and their fan's. They all are very kind hearted, humble, loving, caring and respectful nature person. Just so you know, to add to how bad ass the guys are, Jin and J Hope both qualified for Elite Soldier status and I suspect we’ll see that with at least a couple of others coming up.

From the first few BTS related reactions that you've posted I didn't expect you to watch the guide, and so soon too! This was one of the best and emotional reactions, we welcome you to the new world of BTS, we have lots of fun here:) How about the next reaction being funny BTS moments on interviews? Or a group song? Can't wait!!

BTS Variety shows like - Run BTS - in which they play few games and compete among themselves for prizes BTS in the soop - where they stay for few days in a home with beautiful nature scenery as backround & they cook for themselves, hangout, play games, relax themselves from their hectic schedules (like song writing, dance practice, tours for mv shooting, concerts...etc) BTS Bon Voyage - where they keep touring & camping for few days, exploring new things of outside world, enjoying themselves, driving themselves...etc Kim taehyung a.k.a "V" with his wooga squad members {V acted in a K-Drama called "Hwarang" in which he made friends with actors very quickly since he has a unique, childish & playful nature. Since the actors are older than "V" they treat him like their small brother taking care of him & adoring him. These 4 actor friends along with V they collectively call themselves as "Wooga squad". The members of this squad are Park Seo-joon, Choi Woo-shik, Park Hyung-sik, Peakboy and V. Also "V" and "Jin"[ Eldest member of BTS] together sang a OST song called "Its definitely you" for same K-Drama (Hwarang) which is one of my favourite song}. They( V with his wooga squad friends) also have their show called "In the soop" wooga squad version in which they 5 members stay together in a home and hangout, play games, cook themselves & relax for few days. Also "V" with his 2 wooga squad friends casted in " The Jinny's Kitchen" where they run a restuarant, serve their traditional korean food and promote their culture. Suga recently conducting show called "Suchwita" in which BTS members, his other friends from the kpop industries talk about some past & present memories by eating whatever food they like.( Even though they are cautious about their diet, they eat & drink as they like and maybe workout afterwards💁 idk) And there are few shows in which they have showed up like Run Man & many other shows..etc I may have forgotten few other shows, I only remember this much for now.😁😉 Hope you enjoy it and also stream it/ put a recorded video reaction on youtube so we can also watch it. Welcome to the BTS & BTS ARMY world brotha😉💜
