I was not expecting this video to blow up so much lol. I just want to clarify one more time that these are NOT my ratings! I had someone who doesn’t play Touhou rate the characters, and then I put the ratings into a video. Also, yes, I did misspell Komachi and Megumu’s names. Whoopsies! Also, yes, I did use the wrong versions of the PC-98 tracks. Whoopsies! Also, yes, I did leave out some characters which I shouldn't have. Whoopsies! He's just casually murdering through some of my personal favorites, I'll never recover from this. At least Okuu got a high ranking, I'll take that any day and respect him for it. Jokes aside, everyone obviously has their own opinions, and it was honestly really nice & refreshing to see a non-Touhou fan rating our beloved Touhous. Some of his remarks were pretty funny too. Also, just gotta say your editing is pretty great too. Overall, awesome video!

As a Medicine fan, I find Intriguing that his comment to her was "I hate her stupid name 0/10" cuz my first impression of Medicine was in Touhou Wiki (precisely the Hill of the Nameless page) and I really liked her name for some reason. A fun experiment on your part, but I do have two observations to make: 1) I think you were a bit unfair to SinGyoku, not showing them the anthropomorphic forms (no wonder they said "Not a character" if all they saw was an orb). 2) Despite the title emphasizing "EVERY", a few characters were missed, too. Sure, the status of some as 'characters' is debatable (Evil Eye Sigma, for instance), but even by the strictest definitions, Ruukoto and the Giant Catfish went missing. (Now, I absolutely would have loved to see them go "Not a character" more decisively against the Five Magic Stones, lol). Now, not to get all-negative, I will share my favorite gem from kobbob7, I absolutely loved it, as I did the premise for this video. ❤ Here goes: kobbob7 on Mima: "I don't like the colors" kobbob7 on Konngara: "I like the colors" Also kobbob7: _Gives them both the same rating_ Viewer: _Visible confusion_

Thanks for the feedback! I agree that I should’ve showed all 3 forms of SinGyoku, but I feel like the addition of characters such as Giant Catfish and Five Magic Stones would’ve caused a few issues, as I would’ve had to include other characters who felt more like “creatures” and “objects” rather than characters. Some of the characters who I think fall under those categories are Kasen’s pets, Hisoutensoku, Alice’s dolls, and maybe even some of the minor characters. Adding in these characters would make the experiment much longer, and probably more annoying on kobbob7’s part. So, I tried to make this fun for both me and kobbob7 by only including the characters who weren’t too obscure, and could actually be rated and talked about. But, what defines an entity as a “character” is pretty subjective, and I can definitely see where you’re coming from. But, yeah, I probably should’ve included Five Magic Stones and Two Red Dots considering they’re both a type of a boss.

@@irtouk Honestly yes, I get that you can't add absolutely everything both because the list is too big and something is bound to get missed, and because kobbob7 would probably get tired of entities with almost no lore/personality to go through. I really only feel a bit sore about Ruukoto specifically, because I think out of everyone that was left out she has arguably the strongest claim to "this one deserved to be included too". Regarding the "including the stones because they're a boss" afterthought, I do think that logic would have applied more strongly to the catfish, who is straight up a Final Boss and is unambiguously a sentient individual showing a bit of personality.

I actually kinda noticed that after I made about half the video. While I did say “Non-Touhou player”, I gave kobbob7 a basic rundown of the character’s personality and abilities. So, I guess the only things he couldn’t really go off of were themes, community opinions, and memes. But, even then, he already knew a bit of the themes and memes beforehand.

I won't complain about the rankings, as most of my favourites got high marks (Miko, Okina, Zanmu, Yumemi, Mokou), but its a shame he found Tsukasa to be ugly. I can't help but feel that her UM artwork could have saved her... Also, ouch, the UFO cast got trashed badly. 22:14 - Ah, Junko won't like that ranking for Chang'e... Wait, why is Chang'e here anyway? Is it just because of LoLK?

To answer your question, I put in Chang'e because she played a decently large part in LoLK’s plot. But, with that logic, I probably should’ve included some other characters, so that’s kind of a mistake on my part. I do plan on including more characters in future videos, though.

Suggestion: Touhou Character Viewer Voting includes all Touhou character, PC98 even extra rng decides to choose few touhou character to be voted viewer can vote until deadline (unlike popularity poll, it'll be burden to setup) for selected ones, highest vote means eliminated, or death sfx (reminds me BFDI without event sequence)

Really good idea! I used to be really into object shows, so I know exactly what you're talking about. The only problem is that my fanbase isn't large enough for something like that. But, I'll definitely do some sort of elimination-type experiment in the future. Thanks for the suggestion!
