The human is Anduin and he is a Priest! He's the son of the King from the Legion cinematic and is now the King of the Alliance himself. Azeroth is the entire world, and they are fighting over the Undead Capital Lordaeron (which used to be a Human Kingdom). Wolf guy is King Genn Greymane, the Orc is Varok Saurfang, and the elf is Lady Sylvanas WIndrunner, and she is undead/a banshee (Made as such by the Lich King). You guys should definitely check out the rest of the Battle for Azeroth Cinematics... they tell a bit of the story for Battle for Azeroth, and they're just as nice as this cinematic, and then after those, you have the Shadowlands Cinematic Trailer which is the newest expansion coming out in October!

So Sylvanas Windrunner was the blood elf. She is technically an undead high elf, as she was killed and turned into a banshee before regaining her body. That’s why she has the screaming abilities. King Anduin Wrynn is the son of Varian Wrynn, and he is a priest. The spell he cast in the game probably doesn’t exist, but the closest in game spell is probably mass healing or mass resurrection.

Battle for Azeroth is a place... it's the name of the planet most of the game takes place on. Burning Crusade and Warlords of Dreanor happens on the planet Dreanor (Though in BC it's called Outland it is the same place in two different time periods). Sylvannus (the elf chic) was once a High Elf ( before they renamed them selves to Blood Elvrs) she died to the Lich King years ago and was brought back as a Banshe... she was eventually freed of his hold along with many undead. She being just like the other undead that had their free will restored formed the group called The Foresaken (the undead you can make a charater for). That ability she used is called the Banshee Scream I believe. Not sure what it does but it is part of her abilities as an undead. This cinematic takes place in Lorderon. A former kingdom of Humans. Arthus (the Lich King) was the prince and murdered his father. Ransacked the kingdon and left it to rot. Sylvannus and her Forsaken took the city as their home... which most like some of the forsaken were from. This cinematic kicks off the 4th war between the Alliance and Horde. And this war ends up being the bloodiest one yet... as Sylvannus turns it into a war on the Living. There's a pre-cinematic that shows why the Alliance is attacking in this manner. Important the Orc who was shot by three arrows is Saurfang. He becomes important later in the expansion. SPOILER ALERT Story wise the Alliance did take back the kingdom of Lorderon... though after what Sylvannus does there it won't be liveable for some time. As a side note: are you guys going to react to the final expansion cinematics? There is a cinematic at the close of an expansion starting with Wrath of the Lich King. Basically the ending cinematics for WotLK, Cata, MoP, WoD, Legion (technically there's like 4-5 here), and BFA... (I think there's 3-4 here). In WoD they started introducing more and more cinematics. There is another one for WotLK but it was done with (at that time) in game graphics.

She's an Undead High Elf (Her name is Sylvanas Windrunner). Not a Blood or Night Elf. The nightelves are mainly on the Alliance's side. (If you look closely they're the ones that shoot arrows at the old orc soldier).

Fro BFA you have to watch the 3 warbringers shorts: Jaina, Sylvanas, Azshara. then watch "Old Soldier", as that happens just before this cinematic ... and is about the whitehaired Orc Warrior who is show a few times, and the lightning shooting Troll Shaman The the Battle for Lorderon cutscenes to see more of the battle and yes the battle was a scenario you can run in the game .. would recommend a video called "The Battle for Lordaeron All Cinematics and Cutscenes" afterwards I go Lost Honor > Safe Haven > The Negotiation - this is an ingame cutscene but it is actually important for what comes next in > Reckoning. another interesting watch would be the Jaina cutscens: Jaina's Nightmare > Arrival to Kul Tiras > The Realm of Torrment > Return of Hope then > Unexpected Reunion > the Crossroads ... this could be slotted before Negotiations ... A great one to react to is also the Terror of Darkshore. Also Anduin is the son of the king in the Legion cinematic ...through the picture shown in the compass is a few years old by this time :D

Azeroth is the planet, these are the gates of Lordaeron, the former capital city of a human kingdom from Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos. The undead on Horde side have had this (and the Undercity they built beneath it) since the beginning of WoW. It was destroyed by the undead Scourge way back in Warcraft 3 right before WoW. The Alliance wanted to take it back in response to something Sylvanas did which you'll see in later cinematics and the animated short videos they do. I won't go into it but neither the Horde or Alliance have Lordaeron now... One thing that will help you guys is to learn about the actual trailers. These are just the cinematic intros. You have the announcement trailers for everything except for WoW and Burning Crusade, these intros, the major patch trailers which do show a lot of the story, the in game cinematics which you won't see just leveling as some of the worlds are old and you'll level past them in some cases and the animated shorts. The expansion features trailers tell a bit more of what's going on in each expansion and do more of a "reveal" of their big baddie or major struggle. Also BFA was the first expansion where they did several cinematics of THIS quality not just as an intro but to continue telling major story points. Look into the animated short videos as well. Burdens of Shaohao (Mists of Pandaria), Lords of War (Warlords of Draenor), Harbingers (Legion), Warbringers (Battle for Azeroth) and Afterlives (Shadowlands). Also the level squish is probably coming next week. You might notice your character levels and ablities changing a little bit as we head into the pre-patch for Shadowlands! Have fun!

One thing Blizzard always does right... cinematic. They should really make a CGI movie of Warcraft, or even series.

Mass Rez is a priest ability :)

The guy who "revived" the soldiers at the end is a priest. He cast a spell called Holy Word: Salvation which heals the whole raid and gives each one of them a heal over time effect. This spell also has one of the longest cooldowns in the game at 12 minutes. And no, he didn't resurrect all those soldiers. They were severely injured but not dead.

She did call that Anduin was a priest good for her lol smart cookie. Also when Anduin showed up and the two girls and the guy fell in love I resonated with that lmaooooo

The elf you thought was so pretty is Sylvanus. She's an undead banshee, leader of the undead Forsake (the Banshee Queen, or Dark Lady) and High Warchief of the Horde. Quite possibly the most evil faction leader in the history of the game, and that was before BFA. Now she's even worse. The werewolf talking to the human king is King Greymane, leader of the worgen in the Alliance. The human king in the lion faced helmet is Anduin, King of Stormwind (last human bastion of the world) and High King of the Alliance. This trailer doesn't explain it, but the battle portrayed in the trailer is the Alliance pushing for justice after Sylvanus executed an act of genocide against the Night Elves and destroyed their tree and home city. By the way, Anduin is a priest, but don't think you'll have similar powers if you play one. Faction leaders are world bosses with power level and unique abilities to match. Last the city being besieged is the ruins of Lordaeron, the above ground section of the Undercity, capital city of the undead Forsaken and Sylvanus Windrunner's seat of power.

She is not a " blood elf". She is Lady Sylvanas Windrunner, she used to be a High Elf ( the remaining of high elves are now called the Blood Elves) , but she has been killed by the Lich King ( the dude that raised a dead dragon) and raised as a Banshee. She is also called the Banshee Queen, as she is leading the Forsaken faction in the horde ( the undead, the zombies, she's also one of them, just much stronger). In this cinematic, she was the Warchief of the horde, and the Alliance king, Anduin is the son of Varian, the one you've seen fighting in the Legion cinematic, he died there after the events of the cinematic, so his son, Anduin took the throne.

The guy on the left is the guy who talks during the entire movie in cinemas :)

if yall want some lore on the characters search up Nobble. he goes in depth on just about everything WoW lore. he'll tell you about the banshee lady, about pretty boy, etc.

I wonder how these guys would react if they watch me walk across the biggest maps in World of Warcraft. I did that! It took 3 hours and 47 minutes to walk across the Eastern Kingdoms and it took 3 hours and 41 minutes to walk across Kalimdor.

Sylvanas is reincarnated by Arthur (death knight) and is a night elf. Also he the young guy is a Paladin but priest and I believe warlocks as well as druids can do similar heals

for those who didn't know, the lady in this cinematic is sylvanas windrunner, formerly a night-elf until she's turned into undead. her title was 'lady banshee' until she free herself from lich king's influence. she formed the forsaken, consisted of undeads that gained freedom as well. she then joined the horde and ended up as their chief.

Anduin is/was a priest but with plate armor he resamples more of a paladin . (wich is fitting the fist paladins were warriors and priests training with eachothers)

Andwin Wrynn the king of stormwind started off as a priest but now that he uses Marshall combat as well as priest skills he is a holy paladin that spell he cast in game is known as absolution it's a mass out of combat Resurrection

Battle for Azeroth has a ton of cinematics. They went all out with those in this expansion. Watch Old Soldier, then this cinematic, then Lost Honor, Safe Haven, and finally Reckoning before you watch the Shadowlands cinematic. The next expansion's cinematic will make so much more sense that way. Anduin is a priest so Jaemi can play priest. That battle actually is playable in game right now, but probably not for much longer. You can get access to it right now when you hit level 110.

This cinematic is basically the Alliance/Horde conflict in a nutshell (sorta like how the MoP cinematic was as well). Sylvanas said that they've forgotten what makes them strong. What makes them strong? No matter how bad things are going for them, they always rally, gain a second wind, and come back to wipe the floor with the opposition. It's how they beat the Lich King's Armies, the Iron Horde, and the Burning Legion. And as you see in this cinematic, it's what they also do to each other, which is why the Alliance/Horde conflict has gone on so long.

So the place where the elf was is called the undercity or as it used to be known as "Lordaeron" which was one of the seven kingdoms of the alliance before it fell and the undead took it over. The reason why they were trying to take Lordaeron back is because of an event you'll see if you watch more of the trailers specifically "Warbringers Sylvanas"

Anduin healing part always gives me the chills.

Anduin Wrynn, the Alliance King, had been trained as a Priest for several years. Once his father died (the Alliance leader in the Legion cinematic with the epic black ponytail), Blizzard started trying to turn Anduin into a Paladin. There are elements of a traditional (Christian/Catholic) priest's garb in Anduin's plate armor, most noticeably the blue stole around his neck that drapes down his chest (you can look up "priest's stole", it's pretty distinctive). Anduin's training as a Priest guides a lot of his decisions as King. In the Legion cinematic, Varian Wrynn's narration is the letter he was writing to Anduin at the very beginning of the cinematic.

You should try playing heros of the storm and play Anduin if you want to do that ult bobble XD

imagine shipping leader of the horde with leader of the alliance, when they learn sylvanas plagued entirety of that ground so no one could live there i wish i could see these guys faces then.

Anduin the Priest king casts mass resurrection, finally a priest using his resurrection abilities in a cinematic... So yes as a priest you can do that, and much much more, basically if Andruin was doing his priest job and not pretending to be a paladin for the first half, the horde wouldn't have been able to have downed that many Alliance in the first place for him to resurrect. Funny when you said reviving everyone again for the 50th time hours later, yeah been there before many many times, thank god for mass resurrection. The resurrection was the entire army, and the bubble was not the ressurection spell, that was actually a shield bubble that priests can also do that reduces all damage taken to all allies inside of it significantly, if only he had also cast Halo and exploaded out a massive ring of light spreading across the battlefield healing allies and damaging enemies, would have made it even better in my opinion.

I'm going to echo other people and say if you want the story you REALLY need to watch the Warbringers: Sylvanas short (it's what prompted the entire conflict between the two factions in Battle for Azeroth to begin with) then watch Old Soldier (Old soldier happens literally right before the battle in this cinematic took place), Lost Honor, Safe Haven, and The Reckoning. (before you get to the Shadowlands cinematic since it happens after the events in The Reckoning). All of them (save the Sylvanas short but that's a critical bit of story and Sylvanas's origin as well) are the same cinematic movie quality as the openings. Also...as to Sylvanas's race....she's an undead high elf (very long story short....in the Warcraft universe one tribe of trolls evolved into the people who became the night elves. Thousands of years later a group of the elite mages of their society called the Highbourne were exiled because they refused to stop practicing arcane magic). They traveled to the eastern half of the planet and made their own kingdom, called Quel'thalas (separation from their original power source The Well of Eternity and switching from nocturnal to diurnal lifestyles made them grow shorter and changed them into a new type of elf...Quel'dorei, or high elves. (What Sylvanas was in life) Years after that the undead army called The Scourge invaded Quel'thalas and murdered 90% of the population (including Sylvanas, who was killed and raised as an undead banshee (hence her title The Banshee Queen) . The surviving high elves were renamed Blood Elves in honor of their slain kin.

she was a high elf that was killed by arthas the dude from the 3rd cinematic that raised the dead dragon, he raised her as a banshee but she broke out of his control and the rest of the undead joined up with the horde and started to called themselves the forsaken.
