Noob Nomad AoE2 1v1 (Low Elo Legends)

Күн бұрынNomad is a map that completely changes the build up in AoE2 and often players struggle with the starts. In this Low Elo Legends cast the players actually did a fantastic job with their openings and most of the action came later in the game. I then talk alot about transitions and hope to help people who might fall into some "traps" when playing the game. Enjoy!

aoe is ahard game low elo players arent dumb just either new, dont have the time to get better (a job or advanced school stuff )amd sometimes we catch glimpses of someone really thinking outside the box

I like how chat keeps trying to phonetically tell T90 how to pronounce Fibonacci and he keeps pronouncing it weird. But one of T90's many quirks is how consistently he mispronounces things. XD

At 16:46 there's only about 2 minutes idle tx time for each player. Very impressive at that elo.

because idle eco. If you don't manage fish and vills you got plenty of time to sit on the TC and keep it pumping out vills.

~680 player here: Some thoughts on the "Just resign" mentality, and interpreting holding on as being intentionally disrespectful: Sometimes, after I know I will lose, I will keep playing for a bit because I know it's good practice to focus and keep building, training, etc when under pressure. I try to resign when I don't think I'm going to get more out of the game. Also, though rare, I have turned a few games around past what should have been the point of no return

@@TheRomanAoE Nah... T90 does a lot of 1v1, and they're getting rather stale as time passes. Usually these big games gets reserved for pro's and as much as I like to see it, when the very game that's supposed to be a definitive edition (Aka, more stable, more reliable SUPOSEDLY) cannot comprehend 10 rams running around on the map and makes any person disconnect it takes away a lot of the entertainment. So eh, no.

Recently played a 4v4 Nomad. NOT ONE PERSON on the enemy team made any docks lol. All four of us on my team had docks. 11

I used to play classic aoe 2, but never against humans. I'm not sure how I found this channel, but I am completely out of the loop. People still play? The idea of playing other people now sounds interesting

Fibonacci was a famous chef who invented Fibonacci's salad. Here's how you do it: take a 2 days old salad and a third of 1 day old salad and a third of today's salad and mix'em up together. Serve in a bowl.

You've probably heard of the Fibonacci sequence (number sequence where the next is the sum of the prior 2 i.e. 1 1 2 3 5 8 13 etc.)

Referring to the conversation around 8-9 minutes: I started playing a few months ago and just passed 750 elo and I was accused of smurfing. It is so odd why some players are ranked so high. I've gotten better, but I played better players at lower elos.

When you start out you're at 1k So you might be working your way up to 1k and stomping people still in the placement phase who should be at 300, that might be it?

Wow, that first 28 minutes or so was awesome. Couldn't help but think "Oh hey, T90 finally realized watching gameplay that's basically muted blows, people wanna hear the game too." and no shit _right_ as i am thinking that sentence in my head, he goes "Also.. Is the game volume alot louder than my other content?". God damn you T90, first Facebook Gaming, then this? When will the betrayals end!?!?! lol

Nomad is my favorite map. Neither were bad players, just a few things they could change and either could become much better. I don’t think red knows about using the market. But he knew to get water control and map control.

I had a game on Nomad (491 elo) yesterday and had a lot of fun... I was rather sloppy at times (didnt get my mining eco upgrades till imperial) but my opponent was even sloppier. we started off so close but ended up spreading through the whole map

Fibonacci boy just didn't produce any army when he was attacked. All it took is to queue anything, mass it and rush against those archers. With those resources he could have 30-40 scouts or skirms overwhelming those archers.

I'm finding Low ELO Legends more boring over time because you realise that they both kind of turtle until one of them wins a big fight in Castle or Imp and then snowballs it into the gg. There's so rarely any comebacks or back-and-forth.

Man I dunno - compared to most of the rest of the LEL series, this game doesn't seem as much low elo legends. No weird TC placements, people doing fishing ships, a couple of misplays and questionable choices here and there but otherwise just too meta, it's almost too normal imho :\

wasnt there a bug in elo ranking due to multiplayer? i think fixing it got everyone to lower elo, so low elo is more pro than it used to be

I don't play online really but I know my biggest weaknesses are I don't use siege workshops and I don't like making military until I'm in Imp because thats the best value right?? Why make units that cost the same and have low hit points and attack when I can make them for the same cost in Imp with full hit points and upgrades? lol

You want the DE version - just look on Steam. There's 2 further expansions, each with 2 additional civs & campaigns

Nomad might have changed to be considerably less RNG dependant, but the players are the worst. I have sworn off nomad forever because every time I played nomad it was the other player chasing me down with his vills, laming every res he could along the way, and in general being a toxic shitshow of a game. Some people like that, I'm sure, but I wanna have fun, not be subject to someone who fights every single ranked game like it's the finals of an S tier tournament.

Don't worry - I recently came back after 20 years and it felt like a different game! If you haven't already, watch all the previous low elo legend videos from t90 (under playlists) - I found them really useful.

Barry Lyndon is a way too long movie that starts off not bad, but drags on way too long. But the fact that every shot is naturally lit and looks as amazing as it does is part of the genius of Stanley Kubrick. I find his movies slow and boring, but the cinematography amazing. Hope the game doesn’t play out like a Kubrick film. Slow and boring.
