Funny enough, it's just because they care about those in their clan. In a way, empathy is just naturally occuring in Skavens. Next thing you know they are going to have nicely lined queues for the broodmothers with signs that say, 'One at a time'. Alliances with the Empire. Separation of church and state. Laws on magic. So on so forth.

I’d like to point out too that the Captain that took the Dagger for Queek did so after Queek had been pinned under a mountain of rubble. Seeing his Captain, who’d Queek considered one of his only trusted friends take a weeping blade to the chest, scrabble out from under the rubble by sheer force of anger and while the Assassin gloats over his work, he spots Queek; A towering monstrosity shuddering with such barely controlled anger and hatred his teeth could be heard grinding over the battle. The assassin promptly runs off, but Queek catches him some time later and is discovered dragging the assassins mangled body around and venting his frustrations out on it after he’s beaten the assassin so badly it could barely be recognized as Skaven. His Hate for Gray Seers is also warranted. Thanquol, THE Gray Seer, dumped Skarbrand, the Warhammer equivalent of a Zombie Rage Virus attached to the body of a towering demon with shredded wings and axes the size of SUVs who drive all those around him mad with blood list simply by existing, on him after failing to summon a Verminlord by accident. In true Skaven fashion, Thanquol pulls a Trench and literally shoves Queek at the towering demon telling him to “Stay here and hold it off while I get help.”

Honestly, Clan Mors sounds like the closest thing to a reasonable faction the Skaven could ever hope for. -Genuine loyalty. -Actually bothers to feed, train and arm their warriors. -Are practical and seize any victory to its full advantage instead of mindlessly pillage.

Somehow, those furry bastards managed to capture a bunch of the Mountain settlements to the North and confederate Eshin while I was busy dealing with the Malus and Grimgor manwich. Needless to say, I'm concerned.

Anyone notice the similarities between Queek’s origin and Gor Rok’s? • Both were born among many brethren. Queek in a litter and Gor Rok in a spawning pool. • Both consumed their siblings before a certain development stage. Queek before he opened his eyes and Gor Rok before he exited the spawning pools. • Both have trophies. Queek with his heads and Gor Rok with his scars.

I was initially surprised at the idea that Queek isn't at least of interest to Khorne in the same way Lord Skrulk is to Nurgle. I mean, his fighting style is very gory and straightforward, parades around with the skulls of his enemies on his back, and to top it off dons heavy red armor. But then this video illuminated to me his regular practice of spouting sacrilege because it amuses him and his sponsor guarantees he'll always get away with it, and it all made much more sense.

funny thing, my first thought when you said "close your eyes" was "nuhu im not closing shit after you said bukkake " One description that makes me love Queek is this: "Queek considers himself the greatest warlord to have ever lived, as any self-respecting Skaven should. However, unlike many other Skaven warlords before him, Queek has been known to back-up these claims as willingly as he is to boast them...." thats what makes me love Skaven LL, how they defie or exalt what you come to expect from Skaven.

I love how they gave Queek so much character, so much story and it all just ends in the most anti-climactic battle Warhammer stories have ever told in the most pathetic display of a character who's supposed to be one of the strongest Skaven in lore. He deserved so much more.

technically by the time he died , he was extremely old for a skaven and wasnt even in top condition anymore, still the fight should've lasted longer than being choked to death by thorgrim. even then i'd argue if they were goign to kill him off have skarsnik belegar and queek all die at eight peaks the world is ending after all so go nuts with a final epic battle for eight peaks

I'd mention the scene in End Times where Queek got too cocky and got his neck snapped by a Chamon juiced up Thorgrim, but considering the powerup lasted like 5 seconds and Thorgrim immediately died because he forgot to lock the door it'd really just remind everyone how much plot armor the skaven have. Though I guess it would make sense for the giant rats to have all the cheese. XD

@@yamahadrag69 Oxyotl is more of a Chameleon skink commander and chameleon being able to blend in make the job very easy indeed. But even in the real of chaos, he was sometime found by daemon, but successfully suvive by instinc and cunning, the greatest skink of all time perharp, but also Lizardmen not being able to die of old-age, making them stronger by the year kinda help that. While Deathmaster Snikch was never found while infiltrating or killing, also Skaven doesnt live very long, even if they can get a little boost from Skryre at that (costing a tons of slave and warpstone)

yamahadrag69 Snikch is certainly the most stealthy however there have been other Skaven assassins who I would argue were just as skilled in other areas. Take Warhammer Fantasy’s very own version of the Terminator, High Executioner Veskit, from Mordheim lore whose body had been augmented with Skryre technology to make him unkillable. Here’s an in-universe description of Veskit uttered by Fritz Huber at the Red Moon Inn moments before being shot in the head. “It killed us all! We couldn’t stop it, our weapons broke against its body... It was black, like a shadow, and it was moving so fast, cutting men to shreds left and right. We fought, yes we fought hard, and old Marcus even tried his trick with the oil flask. It was engulfed by flames and for a moment we thought we’d stopped it. No way, it came out of the fire, still ablaze. It was as if it didn’t care! That was too much and those left of us ran for it. Still it followed us, on and on, relentless and merciless. There was no escaping, no hiding, its red eye could always spot you. Oh that eye... that eye...”

Ya i wish he had some mechanic similar to Groms but with heads instead of food. Like he has 5 head slots, with minor lords giving small buffs and legendary lords giving good buffs. It would be cool to have a set bonus as well with all dwarf or greenskin LL heads to give a massive bonus for queek.

So about the whole Queek not having a unique mechanic thing. Sadly this is mainly because Queek was a starter lord but like many problems with TW:W2 there's a mod for that. Its called Queek's Burrow - Team Grim and it uses Grom the Paunchs caldron mechanic except its Queeks head pole instead. Its a little underdeveloped but their updating it pretty frequently. I'd also recommend the Ska Bloodtail mod that adds Queeks loyal bodyguard to the game as well as the Red Guard as a unit but they can only be recruited at Eight Peaks so try not to get them killed. Finally I'd also recommend the Unique Skaven Warlord Traits for Each Clan! mod so the Warlords actually have a use for all Skaven campaigns. The Mors ones get upkeep reduction for clanrats and slaves as well as more loyality if they have a lower lvl to the leader as well as other possible options. It also works for the AI so its not cheating if you care about that sort of thing.

With SFO:Grimhammer you can recruit Queek's proper Red Guard unit, and pick up unlockable buffs from each of the skulls on his trophy rack. It's a nice adjustment towards the lore.

Ye, maybe a mechanics where he collects heads, and gets different bonuses, or something similar to the norsca monster hunts, since the heads talk back to him they could direct him to fight someone. Same for skrolk, he could get something similar to grom's cauldron, where he mixes up different ingredients to create new diseases

A cool idea I have for the skull rack thing is that every unique legendary lord he kills, he gain a permanent leadership buff aura AND a permanent leadership debuff aura. These stack with each LL he killed (only one stack per lord so you can't murder Arkhan like 12 times to get 12 stacks) so the more LL he kills, the more head he puts on the rack, and the more fearsome he becomes, being able to not only be an infantry murder machine but a walking fear dispenser

Queek rework: - give him a unique ability for killing LLs(maybe remove it as a global trait of the base game? im not sure how you could implement it and have it still be unique unless he just gets TWO bonuses instead) - Give him Orc/Norsca confed mechanics. As the video says, he'll incorperate enemy skaven into his army.

rather than the Orc/Norsca confederation I think a more fitting thing for Queek would be that if you kill the enemy lord and then route the army you would get any non RoR Skaven in the army after the battle

Perhaps just give him an additional small stacking buff on top of the normal trait gains. +1 to Leadership/MD/MA. Inflict fear once he gets a certain number of heads.

In honesty, I'd probably just do something like the Norsca hunting mechanics: Get access to certain contracts to openly battle elite lords, and their deaths not only buff Queek but give a faction-wide bonus.

I was thinking that giving all the LL buffs queeks has to all of the Lords he has in his armies(except Grey Seers) would be an alright idea then I thought "No wait that would be too busted". So I was thinking of giving him a gauge that the more unique LL's he kills the higher: - loyalty from lords - ranks for lords - psychology debuffs for queek himself - leadership for his army

I was kinda surprised to hear that Queek is actually a good boss (In comparison to other skaven lords), like he seemed like such a prick it was hard to think that he is actually one of the few lords you'd probably want to work for if you were a skaven.

of all the skaven in warhammer it seems queek headtaker (and clan mors a bit) are a bit more practical about their species enough to get their crap together and do something instead of the usual skaven thing, they really know how to get "a-head" of the curve cause queek sure gets head enough that he impales them on his hard iron spike rods on his back.

Praise the Great one yes-yes! Finally a video of of my favorite Skaven lord Queek. But why you not tell more about Ska? You should read the book Headtaker. It tells how Queek does not know how to raise an army but Ska does it for him. Ska does everything and is like Pepper Pots for Tony Stark. :) I love Ska. He is such a good boy. Also I love how Ska and Queek try to protect one an other.

If my boy ever gets a rework, he should have “head whispers” which is just him randomly getting vision over enemy settlements to demonstrate how the heads advise him, buffed traits from killing lords, and head quests, which are just normal random quests with better rewards

I wish they would add a mechanic where you can take heads of lords and legendary lords and actually get buffs off them. Kind of like how the Orcs get trophy’s I think that would make Queek a lot more interesting and powerful.

Queek's lack of good faction effects or mechanics makes him ideal to confederate. Honestly, as far as i'm concerned, Ikit Claw is the Great Horned Rat and all those others are just confederation fodder. There is something satisfying about confederating all the other Skaven lords into service of Clan Skyre.
