this video already made it easier on the fishing part, other videos just say "this part is easy, use a fishing basket and catch fish"

You can use tek, fly right over it and drop as soon as animation starts, it has to finish animation before it can wake up. Crouch when you land.

btw if you want to tame a shadowmane who's in a group, just net gun them and kill the one's you dont need

literally the only guides worth watching for ark, Been watching your stuff since the very very early days and youve single handedly taught me how to tame so much. A massive thank you for that man. It helps to use the tek suit you start with. It's not hard to tame a shadowmane when there's more than one - you just have to kill the extras you don't want. You have to stay fairly high because they can phase jump to you in the air but once it is isolated it's much easier to get near. I managed to sneak up on both of mine in the tek suit without ghillie or repellent as well, and if I saw that I couldn't feed it ("has aggro"), I could jump a couple times and dash away in the air to be sure it doesn't attack me. Also, they sleep most between 12pm-5pm in the game, any time before or after they sleep much less or not at all. It helps to make a camp near the one you wanna tame, somewhere high up where it can't reach you.

1. You don't need Ghillie to get this done. You can turn and use the Tek suits speed to get away in time after you feed it.

Tip for official:when fish baskets are about to spoil put them in your hot bar and hop in the water and the timer will reset👍🏾

This is why I love having the glider wings as you cover so much ground or gain it in these kinda situations
