Isle is trash- he wasn’t missing out on anything special. The parry system is glitched, all the hit boxes of the swords, rum bugs and cannons are unreasonably massive. When speed running, one is pretty much required to play especially defensive in comparison to Golden, Crimson (my fav) and Jumbo (Crescendo is somewhere in between Golden and Isle). Lastly, easily breakable weapons encourages idleness and a very hit and run strategy.

Here’s a tip mav: when the skulls/skeletons try to hit you with a sword hold your sword in front of the attack for a block, the block can stun the enemies so it makes it easier to kill them

I have a tip: When your cutlass breaks or any other weapon, you don’t have anything But if you put a cutlass on your back and the other on your hand, you always have a replacer So that way, if the cutlass on your hand breaks, you can always grab another from your back so you don’t die or to not be in danger or anything similar
