Lol Steve I just realized you're not a racer or a race engine builder. You're a true hot rodder at heart! Listening to you going over the machining Noonan does tells it all 👍. And damn I can see why you want your stuff to reflect that. I've never gotten up close and personal to anything you do but I personally think it looks awesome through the videos. I’m curious how you got 540 out of a 4.8 block? I thought they were bore limited to about 4.5 and stroke limited to about 4.15? That would equate to about 528 ci. Thanks. Your engine sounds like an awesome piece. What did you put it in?

@@danmyers9372 The 4.8 H2o's can take up to a 4.500" stroke/4.500" bore (cant speak for the solid block 4.8 version, as I'm not sure if there's been a deviation of block architecture slightly from the waterjacketed version) Mine is a 4.500" Bore/4.250" Stroke combo. Steve also just built a 4.8 H2o setup on his channel a few weeks ago using 4.510"(B)/4.375"(S) My setup is going into a Regular Cab, Short bed (Stepside) S10 Xtreme truck lol

Machining meets artistry but for a purpose, aesthetics are a way to remove more material reduce weight add clearance and increase visibility for inspection and installation/removal.

I would think this combination would be fairly friendly to maintain at such a relatively low rpm for a HEMI. Even all iron 4.800 SS/AH engines with steel valves and 60 mm cams operate close to 10,000 rpm, so this should be easier on the wallet compared to the 10,500+ configurations.

Those Noonan guys really LOVE their profile milling. Small tools and plenty of machine time but the end result is the tool marks are still evident so one has to ask, is the juice worth the squeeze? For something you'd hold in your hand inches away from eyeballs? Absolutely, since the customer will do the same. For something that's under a hood covered with fuel rails, wires and other ancillary items? Not so much. Fitment and tolerances are more critical in our humble opinion.

He’s stated previously is not a huge fan of hemi head stuff. Obviously he knows how to get it to work, but says they’re easy to break parts and not as ideal as the more BBC style SMX heads.

can I suggest reaching out to motorsports tech and have them make you hub centric wheel centric adapters I've had my 5x5.5 lug to 8 lug spacers for 3 years with 37's filled with water and the spacers have never failed I've had cheap parts store studs fail but those spacers are mint

I just wish Chrysler / Dodge / Stellantis would make a production car with Gen 4 Hemi with 4.9 cylinder spacing, deck height of 265 mm or 10.433, 36 degree combustion chamber, 4.600 bore, 4.600 Hemi head , raised camshaft 70mm diameter, raised about 1.5 inches and last but not least a 45 degree ball nose head. This would be wild. Oh, and "F" Gov. Gavin Newsom.

@@beachboardfan9544 The rpm is held constant by the dyno at the beginning of the pull. And depending where he has it set, will determine the beginning of the pull. As long as he sees the peak torque number, he can use math to figure out the rest if needed. No need to pull her down lower than it will ever operate.

no need for" in my opinion" when discussing physics.the effiency of a blower isn t a matter of opinion.only religious people adjust their opinion angle when trying to optimize the suspension in their vehicles.noonan is quickly becoming synonymous as high quality machining and design vendor surpassing likes of BAE and DART.Brodix is still holding their own with continued design effort in large ass engine blocks going for 5.3 bore space stuff,even 5.5 inchers allowing 1200 cid displacements.if i had a budget i d ask steve build me a 900+hemi with sonny leonard 600+cfm flow heads and 16-71 top of the line roots blower.i love that video where clituris mcfarland rips a 6.53 in bailey`s street car with sm power.fucking impressive!
