In preparation for this year’s NAIDOC Week celebrations, our Years 1 to 6 students combined their artistic talents to create a series of artworks inspired by the Noongar Six Seasons.
The girls enjoyed learning about shifts in the seasons, which are indicated by changes in local plants and animals, and other aspects of Aboriginal culture while completing the paintings.
Their eye-catching creations now take pride of place in our Junior School Library, where they will be available for everyone to admire during St Mary’s NAIDOC Week celebrations, which will be held during week one of Term 3.
