@@Denis-89 it takes a lot of work to look casual and unpolished in a performance. Every movement she did and every camera angle was perfectly synchronized, so I totally disagree with that idea. The performance in Italy felt messy and the floor was horribly dirty. Too bad for her.

The song moves me. But not like Euphoria do. It's still an epic song and the best Eurovison performance since forever. And it's hard not to compare them since we long for yet another mindblowing entry. But maybe Tattoo it's stronger then the other countries nevertheless. I don't know. It's up to Europe to make a decision on all the aspects. And the bottomline is whether Europe loves Loreen more then they hate swedish entries. Ps. Slava Ukraina ✊🏽🇸🇪♥️🇺🇦

And so what if it is generic? That is how you appeal to the mainstream. Besides everything is generic because everything has been done. Even ESC is generic. And the point is to find the best song, not the most original one

@@Denis-89 Well I don’t think people who voted for Salvador Sobral, Jamala or even Maneskin chose the most appealing songs to the mainstream 😅 People just vote for what brings them strong emotions, feelings and energy. Not everything has been done yet, the best example is Spain with Blanca Paloma and her flamenco/fusion song 😉 Of course generic doesn’t mean to be necessarily bad, but people always want something different, eurofans are slightly fed up of basic pop songs which always follow the same structures. The ESC is far from being mainstream as each year brings its range of novelties 😜

Omg, same! For me, it starts, then stalls... finally gets going. And I must be getting old since I can't understand some of the lyrics 'cause she enunciates some parts unclearly. The performance is good and she has an AMAZING voice, but whenever I see a thumbnail of her video, I start humming Euphoria 😄 Tattoo melody just doesn't stick with me for that long.

I feel opposite. For me Euphoria was a grower. It needed a few listen throughs. But Tatoo is more instant, I remember it and I have not heard it since:) And I think most Swedes share that sentiment

@@Denis-89 Att det finns folk som inte vill att den mest tippade ska vinna finns ju varje år såklart! Från mitt perspektiv så är hon mer hypad än någon tidigare vinnare / tävlande på många år. Ett exempel, hon slog Spotify-rekord ( baserat på låtar från Mello ) med flest lyssningar på ett dygn med Tattoo efter att den släpptes, hon ligger fortfarande etta på trending på KZfaq och även etta på Spotify. Jag tror det är betydligt fler som vill se henne vinna än tvärtom så jag tror 100% att det är hon som tar hem detta utan problem! Det bara är en heeelt annan nivå!

I think it's time to move on from the generic pop bullshit. Sweden has neglected one of its biggest strengths aka its rock scene for years and I hope that stops now. I'm confident Smash Into Pieces will gain more popular votes that will massively outweigh the few jury votes lost

That's my thoughts exactly. If Sweden sends Smash Into Pieces they will get my vote in ESC, but Loreen no. We have heard her already, it's time for something else now.

Then stop comparing it to Euphoria! Judge it on its own merit and how it compares to other songs in Melodifestivalen and ESC@

Expesially when Euphoria was a pure art and now we are asking why to ruin your legacy. Was that art at all? Why are you doing it again? Wasn't there any fame after Eurovision? Loreen kinda overwatched Eurovision platform when Euphoria was a hit. She was above that. Beyond that. And she is doing that again.

Musically speaking their stuff is really not very interesting, pretty much a bleached copy of what we've already heard in Italian rock for decades. Also it's very simple music, it's really not trying hard to go anywhere or push any technical bounderies, and there's barely any melody at all from what I've heard (not much cause it's just not my cup of tea). Looks targeted to people who have no idea what rock is, and therefore they think this music is somehow revolutionary. Also when they speak italian they seem idiotic for some reason, and they became popular pretending to be trasgressive on the commercial tv (most likely with prior agreements with the broadcasters), just cause people here are ignorants who have no clue that all that has already existed on the rock/metal scene for ages in a much more authentic way than this artificial tv show. They are pretty much appropriating a lot of imagery from the rock, glam and lgbt scene, and distorting it into something meaningless and commercial for the use of the masses in front of a tv, ridicolizing the struggles of generations. It's difficult to explain certain connotations to a non-italian, tho.

Popular? Then how come she has not had a hit since Euphoria? And only older crowd? Then how come she is popular with children too who have no idea who she is?

@@Denis-89 that's my "feeling", as i said. Children often listen to what their parents listen to, so that one's easy to guess (along with the fact that her melody is kind of childish, so maybe that attracts kids as well? That "ah-ah-ah" part for example) As far as not being that popular or having had a hit for a while, I'm right there with you, I'm just as confused about this: honestly I've never heard of her before this festival, and I was quite surprised that she is getting all this attention with a song that isn't very special at all compared to the others, aside maybe for her scenographic presentation on stage which is the only vaguely different and interesting thing. But her being popular is very easily deduced by the quantity of people taking for granted that she will win on the sole basis that she is "Loreen," which seems somehow a mythological name for most people, including the author of the video. 😅 So yeah, doesn't take a genius to figure out that she was quite popular to begin with... I don't think there's anything wrong about saying this? 🤷 Of course as a rock\metal fan I'm partial in this as I mentioned, I'm not even trying to hide it that Smash is the only reason why I ended up watching it in the first place, I would have never bothered otherwise.

Listen, people just like the song, sometimes that is enough. Melodifestivalen 2023 has not been good and this is the only really good song, that also helps. It is not a done deal but with the support she has I can not see anybody else winning
