This week Daniel is away in Norway seeing if there is a boat to match the Skip Boat, while learning about offshore crane and drilling simulators.
Theres plenty of machines going out on hire but the flatbed is out of action, so Daniel has to track one there himself!

Great video this week - the varied content and Daniel’s endless positivity, creativity, pragmatism and passion show what it takes to fully understand your business whilst driving it forward. Hey Daniel, something good happened today in Hungary. I was at my grandma and as she was watching the TV I've noticed an ad. It was about buildings and building things, and a familiar face was also on it. Yepp, it was Building Impossible with Daniel Ashville, so finally we can watch it in Hungary as well. You can bet there will be at least one person who will watch the show :)

Dan you're doing great things, I see you've added new business titles to the intro, congrats. One of many things I like about the way you conduct your businesses, is by taking chances to extend them, it hypes me up for when I will become a business owner. With the offshore drilling, hopefully you can partner with an offshore company on a building project to get your feet wet, and possibly look in drilling for materials used to build in construction. The sky is the limit and construction how so many possibilities, it's endless💯

Have you thought about fitting solar battery tenders when they are in storage, will keep the battery topped up and stop the batteries needing premature replacement, they are cheap and it takes 2 seconds to clip on to battery, we do this for plant we do t use very often in yard works well

You can expand Asheville yard and have a section where you receive and issue empty containers, repair damage containers etc. that's the plan for my operation. That would be a good use for remote crane

IDEA FOR REMOTE CRANE IN ASHVILLE: When Tezza Terry is on the toilet you can remotely pick him up off of the toilet as he probably spends too long in there. 5 minute timer max.

Kinda curious about the way you transport the smaller plant hire machines. Wouldn’t a smaller vehicle with a trailer be sufficient enough and a lot cheaper? I’m working in construction and we‘re transporting all our diggers up to 3t on trailers.

If you think about all the problems you've had finding relief operators to unload when trains coming in - maybe one day the answer to the skills shortage will be a remote operator who can just dial in and use a client's machine remotely. Then when he's done, dial in to another one on another job somewhere else. The aussies are doing it with loaders in remote quarries in the middle of the outback from 100's of miles away.

Different material I think, GBRf have done Type1 and ballast stuffs, think it’s simply a different supplier and DB are the contractor etc…

DB Schenker changed its UK name to DB Cargo in 2016. That's not a DB locomotive anymore. It's 59201, which is an ex National Power and DB class 59. It is now owned by Freightliner. All 59s except for 59003 (GBRF) are now owned by Freightliner, including the ex Yeoman/Aggregate Industries and ARC/Hanson 59/0s and 59/1s. Freightliner took over the Mendip Rail contract from DB Cargo in November 2019. The Mendips quarries (Whatley-Hanson, and Torr Works/Merehead-Aggregate Industries, formerly Foster Yeoman) produce limestone as used in MOT type 1. Different materials come from different quarries and regions of the country. Tolworth (Day Aggregates and London Concrete) receives Mendip limestone (Freightliner) and sea dredged aggregate (sand) from Brett's in Cliffe, Kent (DB Cargo)
