@@anweshabhatta5951 Always wear hijab = wrong Not all Arabs are muslims , there is Christians , Jews , druze , atheists and many other religions . Secondly , as an Arab muslim , im not wearing hijab . And in my community there are so many many girls who are muslims but don't wear hijab , in fact my bestie was a non hijabi , last year she chose to wear hijab ... because she wanted to ... so yeah , and btw belly dancing is so famous specially in Egypt , we grew up watching old movies with belly dancers , also our parties and pre wedding parties , girls join together and we dance .. It doesn't have to be in public

Nazia BellyDance i don't fully agree. She needs proper training. She clearly lacks the knowledge to interprete the music in the right way and her technique is not elaborated. Don't know about her background regarding arabian dance, if she was just taught it for this show then yes, well done. It looks more like American bellydance though

Yes, Bollywood actresses don't actually do belly dance as their main type of dance, which is why the actresses don't have the highly specialized skill in bellydancing. While Bollywood dances can include some elements of bellydancing, or hip hop these days, it has its largest roots in classical Indian dances such as Kathak and Bharatnatayam. Here, this dancer is using elements of those classical dances in her bellydancing routine and playing it to Bollywood music. She is great at what she does but Bollywood movie dances are much more intricately choreographed. You should check out the original movie choreographies for the songs she dances to, they are amazing! Also I actually feel that even some of her back up dancers are just as good as the main dancer if not better.

I think it is totally ok to mix up styles and create sth new, as long as you call it by the right name (Fusion and not bellydance/arabian oriental Dance). Yes I know, Bollywood choreographies are usually based on classical Indian Dances. I actually enjoy them a lot, am a big fan of Kathak, it's just beautiful.
