In a very short time, Nora has become one of the most loved polar bears in the world. But she almost didn't make it past her first week. This is her story.

One of Tasul's legacies is Nora. Tasul was her first exposure to a bear. Having been abandoned when weeks old, she had no memory of her mother - so Tasul was her only training on how to be a bear. Now she will be introduced to another younger bear - and it seems likely that the training Tasul gave her will have to do for the both of them. They are excellent ambassadors for their species. RIP Tasul.

that's right, but people are stupid and start attacking zoos and protected zones instead of helping. All they care is for the animal to be wild and fulfill those wet dreams and fantasy ones too, they don't think that animals have to be protected before being close to extinction. And people kill animals for black markets when there are few of them and not a lot.

It's a bummer that polar bears are essentially doomed at this point to either adapt or die out.
@mozarteanchaos4 жыл бұрын
there's around 20k-25k left, so they might at least have some time. they're becoming more common in canada and alaska iirc, which isn't ideal because of human presence there (the humans and the bears are both at risk of harm if they encounter eachother), but it does at least show that they _can_ move to other cold areas if necessary... i'm with you on it being a bummer though, they deserve to be able to live in the environment they're best adapted for :(

Because of the power he has as the so-called leader of the free world, has decided to opt out of the Paris agreement on climate change as he doesn't believe it is happening. Is now allowing pipe lines through beautiful, uninhabited areas of Alaska, when they were prohibited during the last government, and I have just heard in the last few days, he is easing the curb on vehicle emisions. I rest my case!
