I recognized you solely because of the way you write, very dry and always the same as always. I understand that you wish them well, and that you are a good person. Ohhhhh. Nora just grabs my heart. She's so articulate and the way she talks about being ungrateful for the things she had in her life was really powerful. Her eyes just suck you in. She smiles so big even in the midst of everything she's going through. I pray she finds her way back to her son and family. She did it before and even had a job working with addicts. I truly believe she can do it again if she wants to. Sending lots of love and prayers for Nora!!

Nora is one of my favourites. She is far too intelligent and articulate to waste her life on the street. She loves her son, that’s for sure. I would think having a boyfriend in her situation would make it harder to accept treating. They feed off of each other. It would help if they both sought help at the same time. Nora I hope you have the strength and willingness to go to treatment again and have a safety net when your treatment is done. Bless you! You are a lovely person.

I absolutely agree with you . Having a boyfriend is absolutely making it harder for her especially because she said she doesn't have to do the things she has to do anymore such as steal because he has her back. So I dont think unless he wants help she will leave so they both need to go together or God willing God will remove him

@@AMLFilms , awe you are so sweet. She has to do a two year CAS (community, action, service) project requiring 200 plus hours taking something she is passionate about while helping her community. She is passionate about music (she sings and plays piano and guitar) and anyone helping anyone dealing with grief. So next year the plan is to gather local musicians and put on a community festival with sponsors (which she has gotten some big ones so far) vendors, etc., and connecting people who are grieving with the proper mental health facility. Any funds made from the festival will be donated to 3 local mental health councils. Mal as a creative person what do you think? She is almost 17 and loves to hear any input from other creative people. I do share your videos with her and she catches many of the interviewees saying they started relapsing/using after losing a parent, a child, a sibling. We believe using drugs and alcohol is a symptom of something deeper ( mental illness, a loss, etc.) We are praying for a full ride scholarship for her. She is a child of a recovering addict mother (me) and a alcoholic father who passed away when she was 10. We lost 4 family members in 4 years and the grief was overwhelming so she definitely picked an issue that was close to her heart. I pray she impacts her community the way you are impacting yours Mal. God will bless you richly with your street ministry. Your changing the world and bringing awareness to everyone of something so tragic. Sorry for the long post but I'm proud of my daughter and proud of you! 🙏❤#WEDORECOVER

That first year of staying sober isn't about humility, or hard work, or gratitude. It's about not picking up a drug or drink one day at a time. Period. You can lie, cheat & steal, just don't drink or drug. It is true that a meeting a day is the best way to stay sober- but beyond that- do whatever helps. I've been sober 34 years. We were told that that first year is for NOTHING but staying sober. After that- yes, step work, etc.

She is very intelligent. I'll bet when she is sober everyone wants to befriend her, probably when she is not sober too, but she has it in her. It really saddens me to see how sad she is and how she doesn't feel worthy. She said it herself, she doesn't see what others see. Nora, you stand out like a sore thumb from others - in a good way! If you put some effort in, you can get back to where you were and further. I know it , and I know inside you know it too.

Shes absolutely gifted. Shes resourceful and if I was an addict she'd be my go to for help.I can see her helping people if she got clean! She sold me on knowledge. Didnt sound like an addict for a little while.

She was the house manager at the recovery house I was at years ago. She saved my life and gave me a second chance and let me back in the house. My heart goes out to her. When I saw her on ur tiktok video my heart broke, and I came to ur KZfaq and have been watching her videos. I am trying to find a way I can contact her. I watched her first interview with tears flowing and this one is no different. She's so right about getting clean. You've got to want it more than the air you breathe. It took a horrible overdose and being narcanned in front of my 6 year old grandson to snap me out of the throws of addiction. When I came to and saw that baby screaming my name and clawing to get away from his Papa and get to me, that tore my heart out. Nora may think she's in a good place with her boyfriend but he's an addict too. Just because he "takes care of her" doesn't mean she's in a healthy relationship. I made the grave mistake of being involved with an alcoholic for 3 years. It put me in the position of almost going back to using. He was hateful and belligerent. DAILY!! I walked away because my sobriety is everything to me. Nora is so smart and beautiful. I wish her well and I wish her so much luck!!!! 🧡💛

Omg Tina. That made me cry. I am In active addiction I have a one year old grandson and your comment just made me envision me being in the very same situation with my grandson. I am also a heroin addict and have overdosed but never in front of family ....! YET!!! I know it’s very possible. I want to stop so badly I get very sick whenever I detox , I have heart problems and I have seizures when I stop heroin. I usually end up Using again just because I don’t know how to explain to ANYONE why I’m in the hospital and all of that. I have a few suboxone I just have a lot Of trouble with the initial dose. Know what I mean? Ugh I want to stop. I don’t want to die. I see that’s what’s gonna happen to me. For sure

I've been on it 9 years and I take 2 and a half a day right now. I'm having pain issues with my shoulder so my Dr raised me up an extra half. I've always taken two a day. Like I said I have subs it’s just a matter of when I can take them without throwing myself In precipitated withdrawal! That’s a nightmare. Been there a couple of times. I was 18 months clean and sober I relapsed stayed out there 2 years was 10 times worse I went back to rehab work hard on myself NA meetings 12 steps I'm now 21 years clean and sober thank God sometimes we have to go back to be where we wanna be if we make it...good luck to you I will have u in my prayers xx

One of her biggest challenges is having to stay well.. the worst fucking thing ever. Goals and plans are put to the side for the next fix.. always. You may wanna or need to do something but when your habit calls you, you run. You do whatever it needs you to do to get it. It’s living in your own personal prison and hell. As an addict in recovery myself, I get it girl. Praying for you ma 💘

To all the ppl who judge. Did we not all set ourselves goals like tmr I gonna eat better, tmr I do this and that. Oh never mind I do it another day and a week later we still didn't do it. Our mind can be strong and we all can reach our goals. Still sometimes it is hard and than we feel down when we where not able too, even though we wanted. She feels guilty for telling herself I don't wanna be sober anymore. It's not to late, though. U did it and u can do it again. We all can. Let's push each other no matter what goal.

I am getting things together for Nora. Out of all your videos she touched me. She reminds me of me. I have been clean going on 10 years. Since someone sent her a back pack I will send somethings to fill it with. I will enclose a note hopefully To spark a light to assist her in getting help. God loves you Nora! There is a light at the end of the tunnel……🙂

I know what Nora means about certain health facilities being cold and judgemental of addicts, that has put me off going to seek treatments so many times. In 2008 I got so unwell and didn’t want to go to the hospital and eventually when I went I was diagnosed with cancer, Hodgkins Lymphoma and it had progressed to stage 4. Luckily I got some great doctors from the hospital I was in and they didn’t make me feel like shit. I have just experienced some more judgement when attending the dentist when telling them my drug history. It’s really sad that this happens and shouldn’t happen 💓💕

I got my son back he was in foster for 2 years it's possible... our boys love us there is nothings that can break that bond....it's fucked up I hate drug addiction ....you can come back from this ...you can get everything back don't worry about anyone except you and your boy ...no one is perfect ...there are allot of us out here ..💚💙💚💛also my son just turned 15 it's so crazy when there little voices change makes me so sad lol
