Just finished my bobber project (on a budget). Tell me what you think, and what could have been done differently! Going to put on whitewalled tires, mirrors, and maybe a new handlebar soon.
This is one of my first times ever welding, so it may not look that great.

Thank you for such attentive filming for this project. It was really eye opening and changed my mind about that I would never ever able to do this, but now i see with some guidance and learning I could pull it off.

Some good fabrication skills shown. Great build. You asked for suggestions.... Something I have always wanted to do with the Virago's (time and money issues stopped the bike projects for me) is to stretch the front headstock forward lowrider style. Virago's always look a bit stunted at the front to me. It's only asthetics I know but the engine is the star of the show and I think it needs 'framing'. Such good raw material for chopping though. Well done and RESPECT!. I know what it takes to take a project through to the finish. Blood, sweat, relationships, time, money etc, etc.

It's a bit of an odd bike. The size is a bit odd, the transmission and especially the original exhaust is very odd. The stance was always a bit off in my view, but still, there are a few out there, and they sell as cheap as the 125 & 250 Virago's. You can always get a better exhaust, but I wish it had belt drive...

To be honest when I was half way of the video, when you were spray paining parts in your living room I thought this will not end well. But the shots of the assembled bike got me like "whoa, did not see that coming". Good job mate!

It looks so much better than the standard Virago. I just wish the video was a bit slower so I could see what you were doing. Perhaps a little commentary too. You could have made three or four shows out of that footage. You ended up with a very smart bike though.

Not sure if it's something you're going to want to redo but it doesn't appear that you primed anything before you re-sprayed which will cause it to inevitably peel in the foreseeable future.

The paint I used doesn't need primer, and there was almost no bare metal, so it will be fine :) Did the same on my car (the pickup in the video), and that's 1 year ago

I was going to ask you how you welded so well with that crap welder. I have one very similar to it and can do 1/2 as well. Then I read that you were a novice and now I really feel bad. Your skills are amazing.
