BTW: shelljs and shx bring the shell to javascript & node & npm. Shx recently published its shelljs wrapper on npm and can be used in npm run scripts. If you use run scripts as much as I do, here's a handy addition to your bashrc file: nr () { npm run "$@"; } # run a script from package.json Running nr with no args will list out all your scripts, otherwise will run the script of the name of the arg.

The problem I face with this if you run multiple modules with output streams. Especially watchers. They will just dump their output one after another while you would like to have their output streams merged. Nice talk though.

That was great. been pruning down a lot of things just to NPM scripts lately... much much nicer.

Anyone get how the watch tasks work? "--" for separate instance, but what are the workings of "--watch" and "--w"? She says more on that later, but ever really goes into any detail. WATCH.js has zero docs related to npm builds.
