Excellent round-up again Leasa. So many hirers haven't a clue. I am surprised they aren't damaged more than they are and that hirers don't get badly hurt too. Once you get your head around the fact that a boat steers from the rear (a bit like reversing a car), its all quite logical really....just need to engage brain, and take your time

Ha ha the ducks - I remember a hire boat I had and waking up in Horning and finding ducks all over the decks looking in! They're trained professionals in getting food 😂

When we have walked in Coltishall, I have seen a sign Norfolk Mead and always thought it was a place which sold mead. I did not realise it was a spa hotel! I have learnt something in today's video. I have heard so many people of late say they would not eat fish from the rivers as there are so many pollutants in the water. Saw the lady go flying in Jon's video on Sunday. She was at the most dangerous angle to the quay for getting off unfortunately. She was extremely lucky she did not end up in the river. Glad she was OK. The return of the sailing boats to the river is a beautiful sight. Hope you and the family have a great weekend wherever you may go.

It looks very busy, when we moored up there over night a few years ago we only saw a couple of boats go past,

i get the feeling those people on that jazz were first timers lol , i did notice the slightly sloping land , very weird lol , i just booked our boat today , yey , we're having prince of light ,with no number , it's the sister to that boat where that woman had a trip , it'll make a change to go from potter instead of stalham , can't wait now , i wish it was september lol .

Our old girl, Penny our cockapoo used to love sitting next to her Dad in the driving seat of the hire boat. We got a lot of folk waving to her as a result 😂

The crazy 'full fist of throttle (06:45)' followed by the inevitable fishtailing is what causes damage. I feel sorry for the lady at the helm, as apart from the guy on the bow undertaking what appears to be 'raised voice instruction,' his actions were also risky and dangerous and undoubtedly contributed to the additional stress. They endangered the chap trying to help, and the yard signing these hirers off as competent to act as 'Master of a Vessel' need to rethink as I have a sneaking feeling that this won't be their only collision on this holiday! Also got to say that the footwear for the lady who slipped may have been contributory and hope she is OK. Lisa, as you know I am always trying to promote water safety and this season has already started quite poorly for incidents and it is only April. There are some excellent boat handlers that hire, and some awful private owners, but I have to question this type of handling. I hope your son has an awesome birthday adventure by the way!

We are stuck on the other side cant get under the Bridge , but we are on the side where we need to be , if that makes sense. lol. 3 attempts to get under, all at low tide , aint happening .

Thanks Lisa, for this great news and boat views vlog, it was a shame about the couple on the cruiser that'd forgotten that the mud weight was left down and the wind was against them, easily done but when there's only two onboard it can get tricky. Take care and all the best. Stevie
