It’s awful to have to be telling such a story but it is in the news and for the man’s sake, felt it needed to be included. It’s where I live, in my village…I really hope he will be found safe soon. I know it’s not nice to have to hear about it. His dog was found safe so let’s hope he is too. Have a lovely weekend , L

hi leasa , there seems to be alot of people going overboard lately , that's so sad to hear , that new boat looked nice , it made a change to see one with a grey bottom , i think we've all had enough of this rain & floods , lets hope it gets better soooon lol .

Thank you so much for the news update....and thank you for the shots of the Chinese Water Dear...a pretty ending to rather sad and worrying news round up. I have seen some drone footage of Potter Heigham...there seems to be large machinery in Lathams, I wonder if they are doing something to help with the drainage? Thanks again and you be careful on those flooded roads !

In the early '60s the Berney Arms was run by the Barnes family. Ken Barnes had a boatyard in Wroxham and would run round by launch on a Saturday morning, or use an old (even then) Landrover to commute to the station. Cleaning cruisers on a Saturday was to normal summer work for Wroxham youth. The yard is now part of Barnes Brinkcraft.

Hi Lisa we are looking forward to next Saturday when we come down but when I rang up today to confirm our arrival time I was told to bring our wellies . I was told the cottage was fine but it was a bit damp around. It looks like you have had your fair share of the rain for this year and was wondering when a drought will be announced. It's so sad when someone goes missing in the water but it happens all the time. See you

Wellies are an absolute must. Too much rain David, I don’t think it’s stopped much since October. You’ll be quite safe in your cottage and as always, you’ll have a wonderful holiday. I look forward to see you both soon. The missing man still hasn’t been found….

The biggest spring tide since 2019 is due on 12 March so there isn't much time to drain the marshes again, it took weeks after the Christmas flood

Another informative round up of the local news. The missing man not being found does not look good. I have had enough of the rain. I was stood in 8 inches earlier this week walking the hounds and finding somewhere dry is now impossible and I would like to hang up my wellies! Should we perhaps start building an Ark?

Well you are sounding a bit better now Lisa so I'm hoping you've got rid of that cold you had. A drifting boat, food on the table and no sign of the owner, a mysterious don't you think? So sad about the young man who lost his life on the river Waveney. Condolences to his family.
