@XxGrizZ
@XxGrizZ 8 жыл бұрын
+Obama Bin Black Man Yeah, except where his he gets to store more energy to use for the rest of his body by having less weight to move, himself, and his 'blades' have their own energy system (essentially, springs) that do work (kenetic energy) more efficiently than he would have ever been able to produce with normal legs. all he has to do is put weight on them (something he would have to do anyway with normal legs) and they generate their own, superior, energy, independent, of the work he does and the energy is more efficient than he could produce naturally. It's a double advantage and it's 'basic physics dude'. The guy got a pass for having a disability and no one wanted to publicly say he has an advantage because of that. it's plain and simple.
@XxGrizZ
@XxGrizZ 8 жыл бұрын
***** I don't think you do get it... Regardless of whether or not he's a scumbag (which he is), having the same amount of strength as every other competitor but with a substantial amount of less weight to move around and having veritable springs on your legs that allow him to run faster than he would have ever been been able to without losing his lower legs gave him an unfair advantage. Period.

rainmaker6261 Yes and in a thousand years we might have flying cars.... it's irrelevant. Though, your argument in itself is contradictory. You state an advantage, insinuating that you think prosthetic legs are better, also the fact that you agree with the person you replied to, shows you think prosthetic limbs are superior. Apart from that, your second statement suggests that atm, prosthetic limbs are indeed NOT better, since you say, and I quote " ...very soon prosthetic limbs will in fact be markedly better than their natural counterparts. " Which means, that at the moment, they aren't. There are advantages, but there are FAR more disadvantages. This is not about him being a bad athlete or not, he is a fucking murderer piece of shit.

***** yeah, ergonomic doesn't mean better. Why the fuck wouldn't you look that up before diving into your "go buy a brain" rant? In no way shape or form did I say prosthetic limbs are presently better overall than real ones. I mentioned a single facet where prosthetics are superior. For example- I'm a lot smarter than you are. Intelligence is a category where I easily outclass you. But notice I haven't said I am a better overall human being.

@@skipads5141 That's the basic Norm package. He plays dumb, but positions the conversation in such a way to put his partner to say a ridiculous statement out of context, while simultaneously looking like an old and weathered idiot. He is a mastermind of manipulation and conversation control. We are all lucky he is a comedian, bcs his taste is quite frankly not vanilla. It is offensive in a almost sinister way, but veiled in jokes that are sincerely hilarious. Norm truly was special and one of a kind. He is also a aquired taste.

I kind of see Where you're coming from. He doesn't have to deal with some key things that those with regular legs do. He never has to worry about joint damage and pain in this ankles and feet, fatigue in his feet and calf muscles, and it looks like the prosthesis weigh less than the muscle and bone tissue they're replacing so he'd have to use less energy to run.

Agree with you 100%. Sure, he had guts and determination to get where he was before the whole Riva incident, but, you just CAN'T compare flesh and bone to an artificial creation. That would be the equivalent of a boxer with a bionic arm competing against other boxers with just their normal appendages. It's why I never felt comfortable watching him compete against regular sprinters and winning (or losing). How much of an advantage/disadvantage do those give him compared to guys with just their legs? They SAY those blades are the same as normal legs, but come on, they'll never be REALLY 100% the same. Have him run against OTHER guys with no legs, wearing the EXACT same prosthetic as him, now THAT I agree with. And by the way, I'm a South African myself. Just saying.
