I put hours and hours of my heart and soul into this documentary, I hope you guys love it as much as I loved making it. It's one of my favorite videos I've ever made. I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Thank you for watching. I said this on my original tribute, and I don't think I could say it any better than I did below...
Norm Macdonald is undoubtedly one of the greatest comedians to ever walk the face of the planet. He is my absolute favorite comedian for so many reasons I couldn't list them all if I tried. A few reasons that stand out are his absolutely masterful comedic timing and delivery, his intelligent and carefully-crafted observations, and his ability to be honest in a world full of deception. Norm Macdonald is undoubtedly a comedian's comedian. He was known in the mainstream for being on Billy Madison and Saturday Night Live, but aside from that his stand up and late night appearances really solidified why his comedic voice stood out from the rest. Louis C.K described Norm Macdonald as the closest comedian to Mark Twain because of his voice, and ability. Another thing I absolutely adored about Norm's comedy was the simplicity of his style. He would deliver things that everyone has observed before, but he'd do it in a humble manner that would catch you off-guard and make you laugh endlessly. There are often comedians that can be grouped together for a certain genre or style, but for Norm there is simply no comedian like him. He was truly an enigma because of his comedic voice, and there will never be another person like him. Norm left behind a legacy that no fan will ever forget. He's been an inspiration to many seasoned comedians and also young comedians like myself. I aspire to one day be able to do something similar to what this amazing man did on stage. The world of stand-up comedy is a slightly darker place without Norm Macdonald. I hope you guys enjoyed this tribute video. God Bless Norm Macdonald, may he rest in peace.
"It's one thing to make people laugh, it's another to make people smile."

I worked as a waiter at a Yuk-Yuk's comedy club in Kitchener, Ontario. Norm performed there quite a few times shortly before he made the big time. His act was by far the best one I saw while working there and he was the nicest comic I met there as well. Some of them thought they were real celebrities and acted snooty, but Norm always hung out with the staff and would go out for drinks with us when the club closed. I'm so glad his career was so huge and when I heard about his death I was very sad. I always loved him and respected him too. He didn't sell out.

The reason Norm was so great and so damned funny was that he NEVER did jokes, gags, or bits for the audience. He literally did every single thing to make himself laugh. The fact he was constantly dropping steamy upper-deckers onto everyone that either hired him or acted like they were his superiors when NOBODY else would be in on the joke should make that immediately obvious.

Great job! Many long time norm addicts here. I think his youtube podcast had some peak norm that still has not been fully dug into, its hard to explain but you can see it in the face of the high level comedians when he just gets right in there and surprises them with high level hilarity

I'm not sure how many Canadian's are on this site, but his decision to use a Doug in the Slugs song "Too Bad" as his theme song on The Norm Show is a brilliant choice. I remember going to one of their concerts while attending university and Doug Bennett had us dancing on the tables. I can't get enough of Norm's humor, it's so original.

Finding theses comments really really warm my heart 💜. I honestly thought i had a condition or something because ever since i stumbled on Norm Mcdonald (i must've been in High School) i LITERALLY have been listening to him EVERY day since, often as an ASMR to fall asleep to - I must know every single moment recorded on KZfaq of this "Old chunk of coal" by now.

Stellar job. The inside jokes, heartfelt admiration, and show of respect u paid to Norm throughout this video was truly touching. I also am never deeply hurt, or genuinely upset when some celebrity passes, but when Norm died, I was actually really heartbroken. He is absolutely my favorite comedian. And without a doubt, belongs in on the Mt. Rushmore of comedy legends. He absolutely was a master of his craft, and totally fearless. He gave zero fucks! Thank u for the hard work u put into this. Hopefully some young comedy fans that have never heard of Norm, will see this and fall in love with his comedy and personality just as we did... Thanx again

This is an incredible video. Thank you so much for this. Norm was one of those unique people who just put a smile on your face no matter what. If you hear him tell a joke, your mood is improved. As an Iowan, it’s unfortunate that whole thing happened to Norm. Though there was quite a bit of confusion with the venue as Norm wasn’t at all told what kind of audience he would be performing in front of, so the end result is unfortunate, yet it is understandable how things transpired the way they did. It’s sad he’s gone, but he will always be remembered for years to come. Thank you again for this, keep up the great work and take care!

Released on the anniversary of his passing. A great memorial to his name. Very well done and clearly heart-felt. Thank you for the effort you put into this. Miss you, Norm... Ps.. when I was 14, I bought my first dvd, walmart had just started the $5 dvd bin (approx 2001), and in it was Dirty Work. I watched that movie easily over a hundred times that summer. Severely underrated. A saigon whore bit Jimmy's nose off.
