Pallavi, @15.01, they're Iris plants, will have purple/blue flowers. Thanks for the virtual tour, interesting to note apple orchards covered by sheets; last season had seen Parsimon plantations in Kullu district covered similarly to protect fruits.

Very nice video. I have seen earlier, but worth mentioning once again. Manish ji is a perfect driving expert and the best part of it is his temperament. Most of the people like me gets impatient and loses temper at times during such tedious long drives. I am pretty sure Manish ji is a passionate driver, who loves to drive. The problem with XUV 500 is it's weight. It is more than 2000 kgs, so even the most powerful 2.2 litre engine finds it difficult to pull that load over steep slopes. Keep driving, live to drive and stay safe.

Green strip waali Topi is more popular in Shimla/Kinnaur region (Upper Himachal) i.e. Congress stronghold and Red strip more popular in Hamirpur, Kangra,Kullu,Mandi districts(Central and Lower Himachal) BJP's strongholds.

Last Nov I drove from Tirthan to Jalori Pass & back & recall the challenges. Roads are really narrow & some too steep, good to test metal of the car. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Best of Luck 🙂

small correction u can make..the trees u r refering as pine, are actually deodar..also those red flowers are not camelia..they are rhododendron or buransh in hindi..

Smell is of BRAKES, when downhill drive in 2nd gear and dont apply much brakes, let car handle the descent

Even steep downhill won’t get handled by engine and it starts revving hard and there we need to apply brakes. I couldn’t take 2 gear even uphill and downhill was like engine telling release me boss or go next gear. Lol 😂

सर नमस्कार आप ज्यादा कलच का इस्तेमाल मत करिये पहिले या दुसरे गियर मे गाड़ी चलाइये नइ तो आप का कलच पिलेट जल जायेगा मे भी इन पाहाड़ो मे गाड़ी चलाना सिखा फुल लोड् के साथ हम तो ट्रक चलाते थे अब तो मे दोहा कतर मे ट्रेलर चलाता हु आप लोगों कि हर भिडियो देख्ता हु बहुत खुसी होती है मै उत्तराखण्ड उत्तरकाशी जिले से हु ।

अरे गलत बताया है आपको । यह सभी टोपी हिमाचली ही हैं। यह हिमाचल के अलग अलग जियोग्राफी एरिया में पहनी जाती हैं। कॉंग्रेस और बीजेपी से इसका कोई लेना देना नहीं है । actually हिमाचल में आज तक जो कांग्रेस के मुख्यमंत्री रहे वो नीली टोपी वाले एरिया से थे । और बीजेपी के मुख्यमंत्री लाल टोपी वाले एरिया से रहे तो यह एक dialogue ही बन गया है।

Not getting how to start. Reason is how to appreciate for ur camera efforts, driving efforts, majorly cost for the entire trip. I hope you took some footage with DSLR & some with phone cam. Holding heavy camera for best footage from Pallavi is awesome & Manish driving in hard ghat roads is also hard. Thumps up for ur efforts to entertain us. Meet u soon in Bangalore or Hyderabad.
