Every state has one IT hub like Mumbai, Noida, Bangalore, Kolkata.. etc.most part of. the GDP of the state is generated by these IT hubs. Now, if the state is small then the IT hub will create difference in increasing per capita income and if state is big then the per capita income of state will decrease. The irony is Mumbai Delhi and kolkata generates more GDP than all of the IT hubs in southern part held together. These slow development is because northern states are too big in size. If we divide all northern states in half then after 40 50 years the per capita income will increase exponentially for each northern states.

North India can't beat the development in South India. South Indians are ahead of North India in education, healthcare, food, shelter, toilet facilities, nutrition, HDI etc. These are the basic facilities for humans. If all North Indians can't get even these basic facilities, then how can they developed? Also Taxes are collected from South Indians and give it to North Indians. Actually most of the developments in North India are from South Indians' tax fund

Maharashtra is definetly not a North Indian state. They're South Indian cuz Marathi is a proto-dravidian language like Sindhi. I am from Maharashtra and Maharashtra is definitely not in North India. Mumbai has been influenced by Hindi speaking people doesn't mean Maharashtra is North India. Maharashtra is with and will be South India. Marathi language itself is a mixture of dravidian.

The central government is unfairly disadvantaging the southern states in the international arena to favor the northern states. Our opposition to the BJP is not baseless. For decades, the Tamil Nadu government has invested in medical colleges, but now the NEET exam is limiting the opportunities for Tamil students. The central government has not made enough investment to justify this change. Imagine two brothers, A and B, who earn 3 and 1 rupees respectively. Their parents take their money and give 1 rupee to A and 3 rupees to B. With his 1 rupee, A saves and buys a house. Now the parents say that A can only have one room in the house and the rest belongs to B. It is acceptable to collect taxes, but it is wrong to use policies to destroy the benefits that the southern states have achieved for themselves. If this goes on, our country will not remain united

The real reason is excessive population in northern region. Where ever numbers are more per capita will automatically go down. Even if north is doing equal or parallel to south still north india will lag behind in per capita terms. In north India communal and casteism politics has resulted into slow progress as public here votes not for development. Some of you said this is because of BJP, it is hilarious to hear that as if till BJP was not incepted north india was flying in sky in terms of development. There are other factors too. South india remained always protected from invasions, political turmoil, excessive exploitation from British raj in term of years of rule, burnts from partition, wars which happened with neighbours. South india was always a protected fort as north india took all blow from outside world. They were developing literature, music, culture, ............. while in north india we were fighting invaders. This slowly made us weak economically and kept us start afresh again and again. There can be many other reasons like we don't have access to sea, Many policies were against north indian states, political instabilities.

Well whole part of india above the tropic of cancer is not northern india . North india includes states like bihar and UP , jammu and kashmir, uttarakhqnd, himachal pradesh. But delhi, haryana , punjab, gujrat and maharshtra , rajasthan come in wetsern india which are also rich and development is there. In east we have odisha, wb, jharkhan and in north east we have 7sisters and sikkim where development has started in recent 5 years. Also central india include MP and chhatisgarh .

You can compare them with south indian states.

@@snehasahoo1718 According to ministry of home affairs, the country is divided in 6 zonal councils and Rajasthan comes under northern council, even you can read several articles and sources including wikipieda, Rajasthan is considered as the northern state and still people like you are in complete denial as if every article or even ministry of home affairs are stupids, the western parts are Gujarat, maharashtra and goa so if my words were rude then I apologize but at least get your facts checked before making any comment!

Bro, Every state has one IT hub like Mumbai, Noida, Bangalore, Kolkata.. etc.most part of. the GDP of the state is generated by these IT hubs. Now, if the state is small then the IT hub will create difference in increasing per capita income and if state is big then the per capita income of state will decrease. The irony is Mumbai Delhi and kolkata generates more GDP than all of the IT hubs in southern part held together. These slow development is because northern states are too big in size. If we divide all northern states in half then after 40 50 years the per capita income will increase exponentially for each northern states.

I'm a Syrian Christian from Kerala, Northies often tell me that I'm not an Indian and should immediately leave the country, What did I do wrong? Some others refer to us as Madrasi.
