Yo ur rap today was the first I’ve rlly enjoyed. I think you should do more upbeat loose stuff, with all the flow switch ups, cos it’s a lot less formal and stilted sounding than some of the stuff you put out as yourself. Like just have fun with it. You’re never gonna be a road man, ur never gonna be a conscious rapper, you’re not gonna be an emo rapper either Ross please for the love of god, but I think you could TOTALLY be a lit/party rapper. The purple colour of NPK goes back to our old school uniform in Northumberland Park Community School (now Duke's Aldridge Academy), which had purple tops; making us extremely unique and stand-outish from all the other schools throughout the Borough. I was there in Battersea in 2006 all the way from Cape Town. I remember sitting on the bus and there was a purple bandana guy on one side, a yellow bandana guy somewhere on the bus and I think I saw someone with green on the bus too. Now i understand.

I grew up in one of these areas and went to school in the other around the early to mid noughities. Luckily, I was too busy skateboarding and watching anime to be remotely interested in this stuff. But of course, we all had that acquaintance of an acquaintance. It's crazy how "run of the mill" it is when someone tells you that so and so from primary or secondary school is dead, in jail, etc. And this is only the UK. Imagine the height of the crack epidemic in cities such as New York. This part of North London has always had its fair share of gang warfare. An interesting case is the Turkish OC/Street gangs; particularly the feud between Tottenham and Hackney.

Hi Trap Lore Ross, I've just found the video and it's brilliant. I'm from London and grew up in Walthamstow and I've never encountered this violence up close, but I lived near Wood Green and Tottenham. I knew a bit of the bad reputation Broadwater Farm had, and there's always news stories of knife crime, but I didn't know any of the details in the streets. You've done a brilliant job with this video, but I also find it so sad that black boys, who are talented can commit so much violence against each other. I don't agree with glorifying violence in music, but these men need a positive outlet to their traumas and shit they experience. I hope these men can transform their lives and live well to old age, reflect and realise that life is precious and short

Very funny and insightful at the same time great message to the youths finding this stuff somewhat influential. It’s more than music it’s REAL LIFE, the people in it want OUT which they’re finding thru music. If you’re not from the roads don’t force it, simply just enjoy the music and stay in your lane!

Seems like you really Go 110% when it comes to uk stuff, really great video with crazy research and the right message behind it. Not glorifying the street stuff but giving important Information about the reality these young men live in... Im a big fan of uk drill music and i think we all can agree that we want beefs to be handled in the studio and on fire tracks and not in real life with teenagers losing their lives
