The fact that Saints scored four tries against a defence that has been immense this season shows that they are a good side. However, Tigers are ahead of most this season.

To be fair they managed 4 tries as a result of Tigers indiscipline in the second half. Tigers going down to 14 men then quickly down to 13 men was the only reason Saints ended up with a Try Bonus point. It is far easier to score against 13 men than a full 15. My honest assessment of the game is that Saints are a fairly good team who played some ok rugby in the first half but were physically dominated by Tigers who pounced on each mistake Saints made. Saints improved and played some good rugby second half, especially when they were playing against 13 men. However Tigers and especially George Ford were incredible and dictated the Game, never letting Saints get within arms length of the Tigers lead. Tigers were clearly the far better side on the day and the scoreboard is a fair reflection of the thumping Saints were given at the hands of their bitter East Midlands rivals.

Northampton played some excellent rugby but were forced into too many errors. Tigers starting to look like the Tigers of old...😊

Because if he were playing for Leicester and England he wouldn't be playing like this for Leicester or England (see form for either since last world cup). The fact that he can just concentrate on playing for his club has done him a world of good.

If Boyd was a Premier League manager he'd have been gone long ago along with Ferguson. Borthwick was always going to get Tigers back where they belong but Saints carry on same old same old. No progress.

All we here is discipline is our downfall, we have 2 good locks in Moon and Coles so why don't Boyd play one of them and ditch Api whos discipline is terrible, the off of the ball on Coles set the tone. Ditch him and set an example that it will not be tolerated.

Why did we play that type of rugby against the tigers, our kicking out of hand was shocking, play to our strengths which are running 🏃 rugby, second week running Hutchinson has had a kick changed down and had a try scored against. And while I'm on a rant 😠😡 ball held up in goal, start with a goal line drop out and with all the field to kick at we kick it to Ford who kicked it back with interest. come on Saint we know we can do it better than that. on the subject of player leaving to train with England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿...... it wouldn't happen in football now would it.

To be fair Tigers fans had been making the same argument about players leaving for international duty for decades. Every autumn international and Six Nations periods of the year the Tigers used to lose over half their 1st 15 on England and other international duty and had to compete with a 2nd 15 team against almost entirely unchanged first teams at most other clubs. Tigers were consistently disadvantaged compared to most other clubs during these periods but would always seem to finish the season strongly as nd finish in the play offs year in year out. Premier league football clubs would never accept such a situation with their international players being away and the league continuing in their absence.
