In today’s video I go over what to expect this winter if you live in the Northeastern US. I give out my temperature, precipitation and snowfall forecasts for the region and go over some common storm tracks I expect this upcoming winter.

Amazing ! Miller a Miller b ! My great grandfather was from Outer Banks NC..where these storms get their start. His last name was Miller !

Most of our worst storms for snowfall were during La Ninia years in South Central Pa...our weather guy always reminds us of that...it seems like the La years are on either side of the bell curve...lots or nothing...🤔🤷‍♂️ will be interesting...

Could you elaborate on what a South East ridge is?

A southeast ridge is when the jet stream is pushed north and high pressure sits over the southeast bringing warmer & drier conditions than normal to the region.

It is very common during La Niña winters and we are expecting to have a weak to moderate La Niña this winter. It is the opposite during El Niño winters though because it usually is cool and wet for the southern US. That is because the subtropical jet stream stays very active over the southeast during El Niño’s. It really comes down to where the jet stream is most of the time.
