Agreed. The rozzers were up there with the best that I've seen. Very professional, knew the law, apologised for walking away when he was called on the radio and had a sense of humour. There's no GDPR breach here. It's totally legal to film anyone and anything in a public place. Which is kind of the whole point of this channel. GDPR is only concerned with what happens to and with the data, after it's collected.

Although he was away from his place of work ,he was implicitly collecting data on behalf of his company, and made it clear both by speech and action that it was not for his own private use. I don't think he could successfully argue in the face of the evidence that it was anything less than data farming on behalf of his employer, which means the images are subject to GDPR. @@TheHovel

They state it's because they received a call about him flying a drone, which he hadn't, and TWO Police units are dispatched? Unlike the rest of the country it appears that this Police Force are NOT undermanned and overworked. Why couldn't the person who took the call advise the caller that it is a LEGAL activity AND warn them about wasting Police time?

@@robinrodger9566 Unfortunately, it's not up to the individual police officer if they turn up or not. If the company has phoned 911 then they get through to a civilian call handler, who I suspect doesn't know the law, and also would depend on what the caller said during the call. Also them turning up did seem to defuse the situation, especially as they actually knew the law concerning public photograph.

@@guillembauza1658 the SIA can issue a written warning if that is applicable. If the guard was employed by the property owner then it would be the property owner. A member of the public can also write an incident report to pass on to the property owner and/or SIA authority.

I wanted to put my own spin on the vids - with the drone show style and everything else. As an audit fan myself - I realised that there isn't really a market for "just another DJ" in that exact style, because he's got it spot on. There are so many now that viewers will have to start choosing their faves

@@northernaudits I'm not to familiar with Deeside area, as I said I lived in Swansea and Newtown Powys Mid Wales, so more familiar with those areas. There is a KZfaq channel that does mid Wales, and has visited some of the places I worked at. Obviously he is more niche, very few subs etc, fortunately he gets little hassle. Just nice to see places I'm more familiar with from time to time. I'm back home where I belong in Belfast, we only have a few Auditors over her, CJ Audits Northern Ireland springs to mind, a bit like Scotland it's very hostile to guys like yourself, so not recommended tbh. I have been security, they know nothing. 2 days training for office and building security. That was in 2001, things may have changed, but doubtful.

What law is that? It's just a number plate. There's no law that prohibits the recording of number plates.

@@TheHovel Data Protection Act 2018. You can record it. An employee working for a company and doing it on behalf of a company is not allowed to do so.

@@TheHovel The DPA doesn't mention number plates. The same as it doesn't mention someone's diary. But anything that can identify a person, or be used to identify a person later, is personal information under the DPA. So a number plate can be used to track a person down as drivers are usually the owner too. Same with a photo of a face being used to correlate with more info at a later date with the person's name attached to it. It could be argued that if someone has an unusual gait then that would be personal information too. The act doesn't prohibit the recording of such information, but there has to be a documented reason for it to be done. Vague concepts of security don't cut it. And the amount of information must be kept to the minimum and be all that's necessary for the purpose. So if they have a number plate then they don't need anything else.
