A crow or magpie would surely peck a hole right through the glass for that Gold sovereign if it were spotted placed in the window of wonders! lol. WOW.. Incredibly amazing find! Congratulations Gail!!! enjoyed the history bit of the snow baby and think the small antimony box Alex found may also be a great addition to the window of wonders.

Absolutely gobsmacked. Alex finds a headless doll and kindly asks the river to give her a whole doll please. Snowbaby appears. Not wanting Gail to feel left out, said river produces a gold coin in amazing condition. Not to mention the beads! Safe to say the sovereign is worth way more than a pound nowadays. Congratulations!

Great video!!! My favorite part was when Alex said, “I’m trying not to say something bad!” At that moment I would have let the expletives fly!!! The beads were stellar and all the little bottles, too!! It is amazing how the glass items make it through all that mostly unscathed!!! I live in eastern North Carolina, and the coastal areas around our Outer Banks were one of the favorite stomping (and pillaging) grounds for the notorious pirate Blackbeard. His real name was Edward Teach. Several years ago off the coast of Beaufort, NC, his flagship, the Queen Anne's Revenge, was salvaged off the bottom of the sea near where it was sunk when we were still a British Colony. I wouldn't mind going treasure larking for Blackbeard's loot.

Definitely Congratulations to you both! The gold coin is totally unique. Someone guided you to it. The Snow Baby is gorgeous. So small but in super condition. The pelican egg holder is so cute plus it has a bit of iridescence glow to it.

What a lovely day, I’m still smiling, obviously the snow baby will join the sovereign, but that red bead would have been up there for me. Well done you two, it just shows how hard work, a positive attitude and persistence really has stunning rewards. All the shiny copper too, what a day!

Well, yes to the incredible find of the half sovereign….never let that shade the delight of ALL your varied finds. I vote for Mr Yellow Pig to the window of wonder. Here in the Midwest, we do not have codd marbles, vulcanite or glass bottle stops. The tiny bottles are a WONDER. All in all, phenomenal day of a lifetime.

I´m glad for you to have found gold, and i get the appeal, since it does not tarnish, (i found a gold chain with a cross once, mudlarking) but honestly, i do prefere the things with more character or beauty than coins, like puppet heads or beads. love cut glass...etc. i love the way you both get excited over finding stuff. your channel is always a good time, a pause of sturggles in life, a good time. thank you!

I believe the perfume bottle stopper and dabber should make the window of wonders cut. WOW!! That was definitely an amazing day. I must admit that I was JUST as excited about the snow baby as I was the gold coin. I know they shouldn't be in the same category but they were for me. My votes for the Window of Wonders (other than the gold coin which was already admitted in) is the snow baby and the yellow lead pig. I really loved that beautiful long perfume stopper too and the tiny bottles. What a great day! Thanks for taking us along. :-D

When you went to pick up the tiny blue bead, I think I saw a button with a shank on the other side of that tan colored rock. Love the little perfume bottle and the snow baby, and the gold coin is an amazing find.

What an absolutely stunning day you had there ladies. Your finds were so beautiful and so surprising. Gail, that half sovereign was unbelievably brilliant. That was most certainly waiting for you to find wasn't it. Talk about fate and stars aligned. What an incredible lark that was, such an amazing variety of little treasures. As if Alex finding the snow baby wasn't exciting enough, When you found the gold coin, I was yelling at my laptop 'that's a half sovereign ' as if you could hear me🙄😂

Well done for the gold coin, amazing find, you had the same reaction as I had when I found a 8000 year old flint arrowhead I couldn’t believe it, you so deserve this find.

My heart just flutters at your finds! I adore the green and blue bottle stoppers. And the beads! And oh my, the gold coin is magical! And that perfume bottle stopper! and the snow baby! If I make my way over the pond, may I please spend the day on the river with you? I will bring some of my river finds from here in Virginia to share. And will bring my granddaughter. My most precious find so far is a solid gold crucifix I found in the surf on the Chesapeake Bay a few years ago. Thank you for sharing! 🤍🤍🤍
