Live at The Forum, Melbourne. Variously described over the years as ‘metalcore’, ‘progressive metalcore’, alternative metal’, 'industrial metal’ and ‘nu metal’ (amongst other sub-genres), we’re pretty sure you’re getting the picture! Formed in Sydney, Australia in 2009, these guys are currently crushing it more than ever. We captured the band in stellar form earlier this year as they barnstormed around the country in support of their sixth (and amazing) album ‘Obsidian’ released in April 2022. This was one of two nights at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre and the band served up an extraordinary performance to the sold out (and mental!) crowd. Turn it up!

@@mundanemorselsmundanemorse7028 Nah homie, you're the one that's got it wrong. I'm almost 30, toured and played music and shit since I was 16. Fact is if those bands hadn't been around we wouldn't have the new ones, but that completely negates the old ones being "better". they're the role models, not the superiors. Everything that they started, bands have had 40+ fucking years to get better at it. If pantera never existed, and you released their music today, with bands like Northlane already out, no one would buy the records. It's common sense. I have this argument alot though so, go ahead

@@darthswader4734 then you should know better. Cemetery Gates alone is one of the best vocal tracks in metal. And to think that music has evolved past the classics is just wrong. I am a huge metal fan - ‘22 has produced some of my favorite albums in years. But Pantera, Metallica, and Megadeth at their best are on another level. I mean, do you really believe that Northlane has better songs than Holy Wars, Hollow, One, Puppets, Hangar, etc. And that’s just popular stuff. Bands like Death have put out masterpieces that aren’t touched by many. There are modern metal bands I’d put in that category-maybe Opeth and Gojira, for starters, but Northlane is not on that level or even close despite making great music.
