Thank you Danielle. Great information. I have somento start but I also have about 15 plants that were started in the fall. I don't have a green house so when it freezes I take them into the garage. They are in big pots. They have stayed pretty small but I'm hoping to plant them outside at the end of March. I'm in zone 8b. Thank you again! 🍃💗🍃

You should be able to plant them a lot earlier than end of March if you are in zone 8b!

Thanks for your schedule, I have been following you since I started growing two years ago. I am trying to grow all four groups of snapdragons this year, so I have the Chantilly plants under grow lights now. I had to reach out, as I saw you also have a Weimaraner! Bo is my helper at Creekside Flower Patch in Chester County. I love your posts!

Those are beautiful. I have some in my garden but they are not the cut flower kind. I would love to get the longer stems ones to make bouquets.

Thank you so much for posting! I'm in the same zone with a similar climate. Snapdragons are the only seeds I'm growing indoors this year. All of the other seeds I purchased are direct sow. Glad to know what dates you're using. 😊

Thank you for your date tips, very helpful! What do you mean when you say you start them 6 weeks before your last frost, then later you say you start them Feb. 7? I'm in the process of hardening to plant them in the garden in zone 10 and this is my first time growing snaps.
@NorthlawnFlowerFarm Жыл бұрын
Hi Emmy! I start them 12 weeks before the LF and plant them out 6 weeks before the LF. Snaps are hardy to zone 4 and can take some cold with protection from Agribon.

Did the new 2023 USDA hardiness zone maps move Northlawn Farms from 6B to 7a? I struggle to keep up with these changes but I found this very helpful.

Wow, this is great info. I thought it was a little too early for snaps. I better get busy. I'm here in Western Washington 8b. We're wet here, too. I thought the Potomac did better in summer bc they can take the heat verses Costa and Chantilly needed cooler like this, and Rocket and madame butterfly are either. I'm really confused now bc I bought all and was going to start sweet peas now and my snaps in a few more weeks. 🙃

If you grow cut flowers indoors, do you still have to harden them off for them to last in a vase? I'm wanting to grow some indoors for Easter or mother's day or both if possible.
@WesternMONo-TillGardening5 ай бұрын
Thanks for the video but your dates don't seem to match up. With last frost date April 25 and starting them 12 weeks before, you start them February 7 rather than January 25?
