@@NorthlawnFlowerFarm Danielle, some of my flowers are done blooming, and I didn't keep with with all the succession planting of sunflowers that I had planned on, which equals less flowers to work with. Oops! So, I am taking 4-6 bouquets to the store every week. Sales are up and down....Saturdays are generally my best sale day. My Dahlias are coming in strong (FINALLY!!!), and I sell most of them to a local Amish lady that does a roadside stand with arrangements. She is only a couple miles away, so I try to take every day or two during the peak of Dahlia season. She also does some wedding work, and a friend and I try to provide the Dahlias she needs for that. Anyway, not bored over here, and not making a heap of money, but LOVING the experience!!! Well, I need to get out this evening and cut for tomorrow's bouquets.....Have a great weekend!

Wow! Thank you for leading us into the weekend with such a pleasant video. That last arrangement was especially beautiful - I also loved the juxtaposition of the cloudlike Limelight hydrangeas with the blue and white formality of the chinoiserie. After stumbling upon your channel this past month, I've binge watched many of your older videos, and I just wanted to say thank you for such informative and professional content. Although I don't have a dedicated cut flower garden (someday God-willing!), you've inspired me to work with the material in my garden and to enjoy it indoors. As a fellow Pennsylvanian, I wanted to ask how the spotted lanternflies are in your area? Here in southeastern PA they seem to be everywhere, and paired with the heat, they've brought a great deal of discomfort to being able to sit outside and enjoy the outdoors. Regardless, God bless you and your family, and keep safe!
@NorthlawnFlowerFarm4 жыл бұрын
Hello neighbor! Oh I am sorry to hear about the spotted lantern fly. Yes, we have them here as well. Before the virus I was doing talks for Penn State about them. It's interesting how they seem to stay close to the house and people. I'm smacking them with my shoe now in the adult stage. My neighbor has a wildflower meadow with lots of tree of heaven and his property is covered. The last I heard there was a fungus that looked promising. Fingers crossed!
@mrchlorophyll49504 жыл бұрын
@@NorthlawnFlowerFarm Ooh yes, I heard about that fungus finding, too - sounds promising but time will tell! I used to try hitting them with my slipper when they were in the nymph stage but they would jump faster than I could get them. I've now been using a fly swatter and have had much more success killing them; for some reason, if you're aim is proper, they don't seem to fly away at all when the fly swatter swings at them compared to when a shoe or hand approaches them. In any case, I wish these bugs would go away haha!
