When I owned a home, I used to love decorating for my children when they were growing up. After my divorce, I lost my home. I love to watch and imagine how I could be decorating a home. Everything is so beautiful.

At 66, this is the closest I have come to the wonder and magic of childhood's Christmas. It is the lavish craftsmanship of these figurines that enchants my heart. It is balm to know such things exist.

Seeking inspiration for the coming festive season, now less than 2 months away. In my late 60's I still love to decorate the whole house, even if no family or grandchildren are visiting. I always say that as it is just my husband & I this year, I won't bother, but I always do, because since I was a child, I have always loved the magic of Christmas. I grew up in the hot Christmas climate of New Zealand, but my English mother always made sure that Christmas was a special & magical time for my brother & I, & when she took me to live in England for a year, when I was 17, & I experienced my very first snow-laden, carol-singing, Regent Street lights, English Christmas, I was totally hooked. Married an Englishman & raised my children in England, & always enjoyed such a wonderful Christmas. Now that I am once again living back in New Zealand, with our hot summer Christmas, I love buying elves & gingerbread men & houses, etc from either America or England, in order to keep the magic going for the one young grandchild I have living in New Zealand. I have so loved watching this video. Do you post overseas? Probably too late for this year, due to postage being very slow with the whole Covid thing, but now I'm already thinking ahead to next Christmas .....

We have one small store in Pinellas county Florida that carries a quarter of what I see in these beautiful stores in other states that people have recorded. Wow what beauty...the stores here, well the chain stores carry ugly stuff. You have to shop online for elegant items and hope it looks better than what the internet shows and hope its not broken when you get it and of course pay through the roof because there are no coupons or discounts for the fancy stuff. My trees come out stunning but its because I am mixing and making alot of own stuff and I don't use tradition colors any more. Thank you for this Video...kept me smiling the whole time.

I'm quite the opposite.....sooo EXTRA when it comes to the Holidays. The bigger the design and detail....welp....THE BETTER! Go BIG or Go HOME! That's my motto. This is definitely BIG! I could literally sit in the middle of your floor for hours admiring the whimsical, soft, yet Victorian, yet sharp, yet traditional, yet.... oh gosh...just off the chains decor!
