Beautiful build so far. Best one yet on the HobbyBoss kit. Excellent workmanship and very clean assembly. Makes me want to tackle the kit but it would never come out to the level I have seen so far in your build !

Sou adepto da montagem na escala 1/32, pelo tamanho e visualizar os detalhes, este modelo de aeronave está ótimo, não poupou despesas, está muito bom, não deixa a desejar em nada dos outros, o trabalho e a filmagem muito também boa também, acho que só faltou mais uns segundos filmando os detalhes finais da conclusão, mais detalhes do cockpit ... Parabéns !!!

I was deeply disappointed with Revell's P-61 so i'm wondering if this one is better. The wing fit looks very similar to the Revell one which looks suspect to me. That fit did not work and numerous sections of that kit required such extensive filling and sanding that I trashed it. Doesn't look like you had to do any for the HB though. Did you?

There is a lot more wrong with the Kit than listed, and some affects BOTH the A and the B versions. The propellers are not correct for either (which you spotted) but the spinner and gearbox is also wrong - The rear of the spinner formed a fairing for the Gearbox of the R800 engine - it did not mount on the front of the gearbox. I spent almost half the value of the kit on resin replacements for the wheels (True Details from Squadron)and then, from Relish Resins in the UK, a set of Propellers and spinners for both versions, and on the B type, double that on a new, longer resin Radome, Resin Gear doors and duplicates of the A related correction parts already bought for the B version (I have 2 kits!) I also bought the fixed upper gun fairing for the P61B as Lady in the Dark used that, not the moveable turret. One point is that when you assemble the Main Gear Bay in each boom, DO NOT cement the rear bulkhead in place! (Use it ONLY to set the alignment of the whole bay - then, once set, remove it. The rear of the bay was open to the rest of the boom. (Which is why the landing gear doors were modified in the B version. The 'A' left the 2 doors open on the ground and on rough airstrips debris accumulated in the boom, kicked up by the large tires! The 'B' model cured this by separating a small door on one side so that when landing all 3 doors opened, but once the leg locked down, the two larger doors closed again (Before touchdown), sealing off the bay and the large tire was directly below the open door, so little or no debris could find its way in. Oddly however, if these modifications are made (and Aftermarket Decals used), it is a very nice kit. (I think you have done it Ample Justice!)
