This is a hot spot for some local birds. Could be some migrators but was mid to late September, a little early for that. At any rate thanks for following along!

I was in Wisconsin last October and in 1 day we had 45 wood cock contacts. Im.not sure if that was a flight or not but regardless they have so many birds up north compared to PA and other states.

@@nickolasp6580 45 is a good day! I will have those frequently during flight time. Sometimes 30+ in one walk. Mid to late October is primetime.

@@UnderFortyYards how do you like it? What Guage? I've been on the fence of getting one with the pistol grip in 28ga.

@@nickolasp6580 It's in 12 gauge, got a great deal in it. It's light, only 6.8 lbs in 12 GA, handles well. I've had some misfires with it though, more than I would expect. Overall it's good. Wood quality and look is much better than I expected.

@@nickolasp6580 I've had 1 double shot, mostly it's failure to fire on light striker hits. Seems like the firing springs need to be heavier. However, after I took down the action (stock off) and cleaned it thoroughly it did improve. Side By Sides are more susceptible to failure to fire than others. Firing pins are at an angle forced by their design. The firing pins hit the primer at an angle, not straight on like other guns so it can fail, but I feel like with heavier springs it would eliminate it. I used it last weekend on a preserve hunt and it ran perfect so it's hit or miss.
