Thats a pretty red. The Roadsters tank, seat, side covers and polished fenders are well proportioned and complement each other nicely. I still have three bikes bought in the 70’s; a Guzzi Le Mans, and BMW R100cs but the gleaming 73 Commando Roadster is the king of the garage.

Had the same exact bike back in 1975, bought it new in a small shop east of Havorfordwest in Wales. Same color Mk III Interstate, rode it all over Wales when I was stationed there. Wish I still had it. Great restoration job!

These late plates were bikes that had been sitting in showrooms waiting for a buyer.

What a nice machine, you do need a white scarf blowing in the breeze.

Beautiful bike!, but engine sound thrashing. Are valves in adjustment? I like original or Dunstall mufflers.

The Norton 850 last year of production was 1975. This cannot be a 1980 !

You're right. It's a P suffix plate, so August 75 to August 76.

I was thinking he might of done that before he started filming lol Still a nice stock resto job. I would have turned into a sweet caff, and kept the stock parts for stock resto later down the road, but as long as he's happy who are we to judge. ([8^ )
