This Is Havoc Episode 6: Cows, Cats and a Microwave
Our January event was New Year, New Bots. That meant the most wacky, wonderful and weird robots made their debut.

NHRL is the biggest and most accessible robot combat league in the world, home of the 3lb, 12lb and 30lb robot combat world championships.

There's something so immensely beautiful about how all these different people can come together, have a great time with their passion projects, and most importantly - be exited even when their robots get destroyed, since it's all about the journey, the design, programming and building, and not being done. Their next robot will be better, and even if not, it will have been great fun to create and display.

Bro already had a magnetron inside the microwave oven which is capable of killing almost all the battlebot champions and even most of the electronics inside that area 💀. Is doing something like that is permitted? I'm pretty curious to know about that... you are NOT ALLOWED to replicate this stupid idea I'm not sure about people have did this before......

Ehm if I remember correctly at least in the battel bots rules I have read it is kinda out ruled because the energy beam isn't contained /bound too the bot that's the reason we don't see guns on bots (also would kind kill the vibe an be dangerous) but harpunes with chain link are fine by this rule but weigh restrictions happering such builds also getting enough power to the magnetron is kinda hard and any bot with a metal casing is shielded even aluminium foil/tape cann be used for that purpose if the bot uses a polymer chassis

Noob Tube's weapon wasn't even balanced, having only one bar. As expected, it was just jittering around and wasting energy, probably wrecking its own drive. If that's the best tube-on-wheels bot you've seen, I can't imagine what the worst looks like. Pawsitively Hissterical was cute, funny, and made with visible effort, so the driver gets a pass for not really trying to win. Spare Parts though... No combat ability, no artistry, no effort whatsoever. Spare Parts, and the fact that you let that trash heap in the arena, is an insult to the tournament, the competitors, and the viewers.

I'm with you. Any robot without at least fifty years of refinement shouldn't be allowed into testing arenas for, err... testing. Spare Parts was a bit silly, but then part of the point of entertainment is silliness. Sports doesn't work without errors, drama without character or judgement flaws, and news without events that weren't intended to happen. Sometimes, the silliness just happens to be intentional, or introduced to bewilder and confuse the enemy, by challenging their assumption (a flaw) that everyone will optimise to the meta-design.
