I do always feel like Airdramon was a digimon that never got enough love. Whereas Seadramon and other dragon digimon have received evolution lines to mega, Airdramon has always been left out I felt. Yes, you do have Megadramon and Gigadramon who are fine as evolutions/dark evolutions (and I want to come back to them in a moment). Airdramon meanwhile never got a natural evo line where it encompasses the holy dragon theme it's going for. Before it was confirmed that Goldramon was a mega of Patamon's line, I always had him pinned as Airdramon's mega form and Majiramon, the dragon deva as his ultimate. Here's to hoping we do see an eventual evoline to mega as well as maybe a rookie of sorts. Going back to Megadramon and Gigadramon. Normally we see both dragons fighting together so how cool would it be to see a jogressed mega form between Megadramon and Gigadramon? A proper machine dragon mega form unlike Machinedramon (who is not a dramon except in name only).

I think Airdramon is very interesting and it supposed connection to Seadramon and seahomon are very interesting also I think Airdramon should evolve from Dragomon as The tips of their Horns are the same and Dragomon seams to have tiny red wings like Airdramon and of Airdramon is close to God that should hint it could digivolve into either Goldramon or Azulongmon Also I could see organic Digivolvetion line for Airdramon to GoldAirdramon to either Goldramon or Azulongmon also do a video on Gotsumon line next.

Airdramon is one of my more favorite digimon. I just like serpents. It is a crime that Airdramon has yet to recieve a proper digivolution. Personally I like to imagine that Airdramon eventually moves to Witchelny where it learns magic and then manages to disassemble and disperse its digicore while still remaining whole thus making it a mega that is more of a magical spirit with immense magical and phantasmal abilities and the ability to practically go anywhere it wants, a literal free spirit. Megadramon looks more similar to Metalgreymon to me just with the legs removed, both arms armed, and the body enlongated. I remember posting a theoretical history of the development of mechanization of digital lifeforms in one of the community posts. Both megadramon and gigadramon were addressed there.

I could see Airdramon's "true line" leading up to a kind of Quetzalcóatlmon. Airdramon being a ferocious looking serpent with hair that looks similar to a feathered headdress and having a "skull mask", similar to a type of Aztec offering to the dead, I think it already points in that direction. Maybe "the Digimon closest to god" means that it is the closest to a god-like form without actually becoming that form. Quetzalcóatl is connected to the wind like Airdramon, so if we had a "MegaAirdramon" that brings in sun elements (possibly some priestly or knowledge elements too) it could transition nicely into Quetzalcóatlmon.

Airdramon is Digimon I struggled to remember its name as a kid mainly because the name was never said on screen. I don’t struggle with it anymore now but wow my little kid brain.

I'm very surprised that you spoke about so much without mentioning Wingdramon, Airdramon's Ultimate stage evolution when it is not corrupted by the cyborg enhancements.

I thought Airdramon straight evolution was Majiramon, with it being close to the gods and everything.

Looking at airdramon I would say that the forms it takes as megadramon is the correct way it would digivolve but altered. Its digivolution would of had a similar shape but without the metal or at least with less metal than it has. I say this as despite not being altered at all by people seadramon's line did get some metal alloys added and if we continue on with the connect the two has I could see airdramon's line doing the same. I would say it would of kept to a similar design with megadramon but like seadramon would of not had arms which I feel was added for more fighting protentional. I feel it would of gained a holy ring and perhaps a bit of metal armor like protection around its head like the skull looking thing on megaseadramon. Later it would of become a holy sky dragon which I would named the ultimate skydramon and the mega megaskydramon. This form would have a holy ring and control the very sky similar concept to rayquaza from pokemon as a defender of the sky of the digital world.

Speculative lore: perhaps the reason Airdramon's digivolution process progression got hijacked by the little known of hackers was due to its proximity to whoever this "god" in its context is? It would be well within hacker culture to go for such a target. Plus, if the context of "god" is the human who made the digital world, seeking to tamper with Airdramon with this proximity in mind could grant obvious benefits/understanding or knowledge/ a way to mess with this individual. On that front: There seems to be a lot of Digimon that end up as something due to an unspecified "someone" doing something like uploading code or modifying something in them. My question is: what is the nature of this "someone" (unlikely just one person, but still) that keeps popping up time and time again? Because sometimes it sounds almost like a shady meddler just walked up to a Digimon and used unknown methods to directly interface and meddle with them for unknown ends. Sometimes the "someone" sounds like a human got access to the digital world from the comfort of their own home and did some messing abouts. And at others it feels way more arcane/scientific in how "someone" is used. Like they just somehow captured a bunch of Digimon, stuck them in preserving fluid filled capsules and began experimenting on their unconscious forms ala mad scientist/sorcerer. "Someone" does seem to almost always make things more dangerous, unstable, or worse than they were. Anytime I hear "someone" come up, I cannot help but wonder how it fits in with the Digimon multiverse. Some instances can be chopped up to just other Digimon doing the meddling. Others it really feels like it's hinting that humans fully aware of Digimons/the Digital world akin to Analogman or something from the Digimon World 1 game are just coming and going into the Digital world pursuing secretive end goals by experimenting/tinkering/meddling with Digimon. And it's always very shady in how "someone" uploading unspecified codes or data to obtain results is working at the level of a minor reality bender that after their deed is done just does nothing with the results of their latest meddlesome antics. It also feels very bizarre that this keeps happening, yet not even the most technologically minded of the protagonists in any Digimon media seem to make use of this ability to upload code to modify Digimon/the world around them when in the Digital world over just having their Digimon partners beat the problems up. It adds to my feeling of there being a group of "someone" in the shadows getting up to no good with a lot of leftover threads. And this would make for a very interesting and dangerous antagonist due to how they can reality bend things with code injection while in the Digital world.

An ultimate level digimon that I can see Airdramon digivolving into, is Wingdramon.

Megadramon formats Yggdrasil is very unlikely scenario since Yggdrasil is protected by the Royal Knights, one of then is more than enough to destroy him before he could formats Yggdrasil. Also, Majiramon would be a more fitting evolution.

Ok now I need to ask have you ever heard about Earthdramon? It's digimon without official art said to be earth counterpart of Airdramon and Seadramon.

Regarding Megadramon reformatting things, there are probably other 'computers' than Yggdrasil. Probably much smaller, non-sentient ones that just passively host chunks of the world or something like that, is my speculation. Plus it's said virus Digimon are known for changing the environment to suit them, so it could mean Megadramon is just excelling in that area. It could also be something like what the Dark Masters did to make Infinity Mountain, but on a likely smaller scale.

I think the reason why airdramon is linked to the creator of the digital world but doesn’t have the holy ring may be due to the fact it evolved from patamon which would come full circle with gold airdramon. A theory I have mega dragon, actually two theories I have with megadramon.You see I always wondered why megadramon could alter or destroy a host computer but never had the digital hazard. This could mean that megadramon could be the megagrowlmon but having absorbed the data of airdramon. This would explain its power and why it doesn’t have the digital hazard, as it is a hybrid. The other theory is about maki’s megadramon and why it was chosen to be sacrificed.my explanation would be megadramon’s power, another reason could be that homeostasis wanted it to be sacrificed because if it ever were to evolve through darkness it would become a threat to it and the whole digital world, remember all of this just speculation and theories, by the way love your videos nostalgia995/digimon explained.

What if the reason megadramon isn't called megaairdramon because it was redesigned to be ANTI-AIR. So if it is anti-air, then that means if it was still had air in it name, it would try to destroy itself. So the one who redesigned airdramon into megadramon REMOVED the air part of the name so in it's now mindless fighting state of mind, won't see ITSELF as air and destroy itself using it's anti-air weapons.

To me Airdramon evolves into Majiramon and then Qinglongmon, so it keeps its sacred characterictic. Did you know Airdramon is part of a trio, with Seadramon and the unreleased "Earthdramon"? PS, at 12:10 it isn't "MegaSeadramon" but a WaruSeadramon's card.

I agree Airdramon doesn't get enough love. so if Megadramon, and Gigadramon are altered versions of Airdramon. how would MegaAirdramon look or WaruAirdramon? would there be a Giga/MetalAirdramon? as alternatives to the Seadramon line. is it possible that by the line Airdramon " is close to God" do you think the creaters are refiring to Goddramon? It is a holy digimon, has God in the name, and dwells in the heavens region of the digital world.

I know gaziman probably has a regular evolution line, but I don't feel like there's a legitimate one where he was someone's partner. Like I know he's a virus type but has always been on eog my favorites. Like I kind of want to see if he was given positive influence.
