There’s something almost serene about season 1 SpongeBob. The muted colors, the moments of quiet, the ambiance, the more frequent use of ukulele music, the less exaggerated voice acting. It’s comforting honestly. It’s gets almost completely phased out by the time they fully transitioned to digital animation as opposed to cel.

IMO, nothing can hold a candle to _Sweet Victory_ because it’s the greatest television moment of the 21st century. Watching SpongeBob and the bikini bottom residents perform in a football stadium in front of a live crowd is something we had never seen before. It was also the first time Squidward finally had a moment of triumph. Performing _Sweet Victory_ was the perfect song for a perfect moment. Stephen Hillenburg was a genius! ❤

I've watched SpongeBob since I was eight years old! There's so many funny moments in that show that make me laugh! One of the best moments for me was when Plankton was all like, "You'll pay for this, Krabs!" when Eugene used the plate like a frisbee to send Plankton back to the Chum Bucket! lol Hilarious! But I also like the moment where Mermaid Man yelled, "Evil!" SpongeBob is one of the best franchises ever!

God that shotgun is pretty intense for an intro saying enjoy, RELAX, and nostalgia... tho spongebobert can be pretty intense so I get it. Ngl "Pinky!" From Patrick still gets me. Nothing beats Pilot though. That is like a definitive example of KNOWING from scratch the perfect formula for what you want to create. I respect hillenberg eternally.

this was totally awesome! i really felt the essence of original spongebob and all of its cartoony glory. this truly was a wonderful video! highlighted some of my favorite clips of spongebob though another one of my big favorites is probably some of the scenes with sandy cheeks. i was a little disappointed that i did not see her! but it's okay because i think that spongebob and patrick really makes up for it xD

Moments like these show that SpongeBob is an icon in television history and that anyone can watch it And even though I like the newer seasons, I do wish that they brought back the classic personality quirks that made the show feel special (Don’t take it from me though I’m just a 17 year old watching this at 7pm)
