The dsi start-up gives me soo much nostalgia like I swear dude. Every morning when I was young my parents would let me bring my ds 2-3 times on the bus a week, me and my friends would have so much fun playing Mario kart and new Mario bros.

*sigh* hearing the sound of a Nintendo DS lite starting up makes me shed a tear. It was my first ever console that I ever got, I had hundreds of hours into new super Mario bros and Mario kart DS, and even some pretty random games like horrid Henry. I’ll never forget the glorious console that is the Nintendo DS lite.

I remember back in school when we would all sit in a circle and play Mario Kart DS or pictochat before school started... fun times man. I really want to get a red and black DS lite again for old times sake. I had a friend who had a Gameboy advance sp as well. It's crazy how fast time goes haha.

the extra "ding" that was added to the dsi startup sound is so special to me as the dsi was the first console as a whole that i ever used, hearing the original start up sound without it just makes me feel empty cause it just feels wrong without it

I like how even though 3DS and 2DS had a different startup sound they stayed in the same note and almost continued the melody from the first DSs

I still have my DSi. My brother bought in 04 and he gave it to me in 2013 when i was 8. So much nostalgia

I never owned a DS, but got a preowned 3DS for Christmas 2023 with Mario Kart 7, NSMB2, Mario 3D Land and Paper Mario Sticker Star. I also got two games from my cousins for it, which were The Sims 2 Pets and Cars. I even went onto eBay and bought Disney Infinity and Sonic Rush. I only bought the game and base because I already had all 3 games on PS3 and kept my figures after it stopped working because the game was just so dad-gum nostalgic. I first got the games and console for my 5th birthday and it blew my mind. Can't believe that was 8 years ago. I do have a lot of the figures and still collect them to this day. Miss those days.

I get so much nostalgia from when me and my cousin played Cars and Ridge Racer on his DSi XL together. I miss those days. Why can't I go back to times where I didn't have to stress about school, times when my PS3 worked, times when my mum would help me collect the Disney Cars diecasts, times when that same cousin forgot about me after he recently got a girl.
