22.04 - Headset Mic - audio from mic not being picked up anymore - has this happened to you? any idea how to fix? I did a clean install on my laptop, 22.04. I had to do a Zoom call, so i plugged in a headset into the audio jack on my laptop. I could hear the audio coming in but the mic didnt seent to work, I could not see it as a device either, no audio...nothing. has this happened to anyone else? does anyone know how to fix it?

A quick fix, For me instead of options (snd-hda-intel model=,dell-headset-multi), this works: options snd-hda-intel model=dell-headset-multi The comma creates an issue and the microphone works without the comma there

Life saver, this worked for me using Mint with kernel 6.5.0-21. After kernel update mic aux input not detected. Did this and reboot and it worked right away.

I'm using a Redmi Buds 4 Pro and Ubuntu 22 wasn't recognizing the microphone. After these changes in the alsa.base.conf, the mic apperas, without open the pop-up. Resuming: solve my problem, and i dont have any ideia how 😆. Thank you for sharing!!
