My dad always told me to enjoy my time as a kid because it was going to be the best times of my life. I never believed him, and I always wanted to grow up faster so I could do more things like drive a car, see rated-r movies, get money, etc. Now I'm 22. Man was my dad right, life as a kid was just so much better. I'm grateful for my memories as a kid.

I've never vented in yt comments before but the texts at the beginning and end of this video resonate so deeply to my current situation and this song is literally so special to me so I can't help it. I just want to let it all out but I don't want to ever vent to anyone I know again. I had a best friend, who felt sm like family, like I felt SUCH a special, natural connection with her like I just.... Belonged there??? (Can't describe it lol 😭) She was such a ray of sunshine, and so so so SOOOO kind and considerate, all despite all the terrible things she's gone through. And the worst part is... I ghosted her out of absolutely nowhere one day, and it's been 3 months since then. After EVERYTHING we've been through, everything we've confided in each other and all the memories we shared........ God. I dearly hope that she's alright and doing great,,,,,, I miss her so much. ⚰️ I HATE HATE HATEEEE THAT I DID THIS. I hate that I can never seem to hold on to any friends ever due to my extreme fear of being rejected, and because of being ashamed of my inherent being to the point where I feel such immense self-hatred and guilt every single time I interact with someone for too long. She deserves the WORLD, and yet I just HAD to hurt her by (in her eyes) discarding our entire friendship out of nowhere one day, did I, and for what?! I can't bring myself to ever talk to her again. I hate how BADLY I've disappointed her, after THE MANY TIMES I EVEN COMFORTED HER OVER HER BAD EXPERIENCES WITH OTHER OLD SELFISH FRIENDS. AND NOW I'VE GONE AND DONE THE SAME EXACT HECKING THING. The texts at the beginning and ending of the video remind me of her. They sound almost exactly like how she texts/speaks... 😭

Remember you can only count on yourself, be the best version of yourself, love yourself, have love for yourself, don't pretend to be someone you are not. Happiness will come on its own, but you have to want it - strive for your goal, do what you love, fulfill yourself. Nothing by force. I know it's hard when everything is ruining around you and it wants to ruin you too. It's hard for me too, but every day I try to believe in myself a little more and I try to enjoy the present without worrying about the past or the future. Remember that no matter what bad happens, no matter how terrifying the world is and whatever it takes from you, you have to get up, maybe slowly, maybe not right away, but you still have love for yourself, and that is your greatest treasure.
